She's not a female trying to make a video game. She's a female who saw another opportunity to make some quick cash by selling her name and likeness to a crapware developer. Why should anyone applaud this as some great attempt of a woman breaking into a mostly male field?

You could use a USB for the controller, Or a play and charge kit, Would solve any battery issues. Which would not be a huge expense since the controller is already $25. Also ive purchased afterglow products before and they always have off switches for the lights.

As an old-timer that's been playing MK since the original and owner of MK9, this really doesn't look all that impressive to me.
Agreed completely. Mirror's Edge 2 details were all I was really looking forward to at this year's E3, and while I've managed to find some other things to hype about (Crackdown and ANYTHING Halo related.), footage of this is what's got me going the most.
