I'm gonna say it's a toss up between computers and space travel. Computers are almost surely going to lead to artificial intelligence, maybe eventually allowing mankind to move their consciousness into some kind of electronic existence. Space travel opens the door to mankind's expansion into the last(?) frontier.

Correct. I was going to build a planter out of them for my herb garden but a little research show that's not a good idea. Chemicals can leach into the soil. If you build something where your skin is going to come in contact with them it's a real good idea to seal them.
