What's more preferable? Sandboxie, or running the application in a virtual machine? I'm currently doing the virt with XP for any suspect browsing and apps.

Thanks for the heads up. I still use Yahoo surprisingly a lot but rarely check the email anymore.
I routinely use Eudora 6.1 on my Win8 machine. Also Forte Agent 4.2.
And yet... I just checked my hotmail after reading that and it's still there.
First things first... teach it to talk, because talking dogs are funny. Then get it a cat.
I used to do that with my floppy disks. Had to quit using floppies because they never seemed to work. (scratching head)
Yeah, I've been having a heck of a time finding some for my projects. Damn that Chuy!
I just collected a bunch of pallets with the intention of turning them into this (see pic). I also plan on building a wood store and a compost bin out of them. For now, until I find time to start the projects, I have them stacked so the cats can climb over and through them. I have a cathouse in the back yard.
Ahh... I have the paid version. Must come with the extra buttons.
Did you know you can use any image as a start button with Start8? It even comes with a Windows 7 button amongst others.
Mostly the games, pinball and solitaire. I use the email app to notify me of incoming email and preview them. Same with the calender app. Mostly I hang out on the desktop. Maybe later, when there's a better selection of apps?
Wallpaper courtesy of i09. Fences corrals my desktop icons. Start8 cures my start menu nostalgia. 8GadgetPack allows me to continue using my favorite performance monitors, sticky notes, and clipboard manager.
Only reason I recreated my Win7 desktop (see my reply to BestInSlot) is because I didn't want an interruption in my workflow. I still use the Win8 start screen a lot. As someone mentioned, the start screen is good for media consumption while the desktop is for production. That's the best way I've seen it stated. Still…
Ahh... there's something to consider. I just built this computer so Win8 has no problem with my hardware. I think my keyboard is USB 1.1 but I'm not having any problems with it. I did stick an EIDE card in this computer so I can keep using my old removable IDE hard drives. Win8 recognizes the removable drive but loses…
Win8 definitely seems quicker to me, overall. I've yet to see any kind of hiccup in how it runs. With few exceptions, every program I ran on Win7 works here. Just waiting for the new version of Air Display to come out and I'll be set up exactly as I was with Win7, with the added benefit of using Win8 apps. In fact,…
Which is exactly why I'm working my way through Project Euler. By solving these problems I'm learning a lot about programming concepts. Currently working with VB.NET because it seems easy to learn but hopefully, with this exposure, I'll have less trouble picking up other languages.
I'm not going to spoil the fun for you. Just zoom in and look very carefully.
I finally found Waldo!
Anybody here care to buy me the world's largest outdoor TV? Actually, I don't think my yard is big enough.
Don't like Windows 8? Miss Windows 7? A couple utilities I found useful. 8GadgetPack allows you to use your old gadgets on the desktop. Stardock's Start8 ($5) brings back your start menu and you can configure it so you never see the Metro/Modern interface again. But then you miss out on that awesome pinball game from…
