Meh, seems like a mountain and a molehill situation to me. Production variances do vary by vehicle.

This looks like it would have been a great Tavarish project ~5 years ago. In any case, if I had wrenching experience (or knew a really really good VW mechanic) and was single (this isn’t a married man’s car, or I should say, this isn’t the car of a married man who’s not interested in “other options”), I’d totally rock…
She’s going to need a new set of tires.
Disappointed they didn’t have to break the windows out.
My first thought was, “Okay, what are they hiding?”
Hey!! I know what I’ve got...
I had one to 120K miles that I drove very hard with no problem whatsoever It was the 2012 iteration that had problems, and only some of those (they made a change about halfway through the year).
Yeah this recommendation is underrated, actually. Reliable, luxurious, fast-enough. Pricey though. Maybe a 2015 Hyundai Genesis 5.0, though the gas-mileage on those is pretty harsh.
Some have been known to add turbos to these as well, making them the ultimate 3000 pound sleepers.
It’s not just US regulations. Europe has plenty of regulations that the US has to account for as well, off the top-of-my head I’m thinking of EU Pedestrian Safety Standards for vehicles. In the non-Auto-world, Europe, particularly Germany, generally takes things like privacy much more seriously than in the US. There…
Shamefully (and not surprisingly, unfortunately), I was thinking only of the US perspective.
To be fair, it seems Stellantis was screwed either way. From Marchionne’s 2015 “Confessions of a Capital Junkie” (link below since Kinja doesn’t handle in-comment links properly), it basically states that 49 percent of a new vehicle’s development costs comes from frame/chassis development. It stands to reason that a…
With batteries and an extra axle, that thing would weigh a ton. Or north of 2.5 tons, at least.
Am I the only one who hates the wheels? I’d honestly prefer the mesh wheels from the 2021.
While everything you say is true, my good friend Michael Karamekos told me that you can’t visit an adult entertainment site these days without seeing some kind of weird family/sibling action. I can’t personally vouch for what he says, but I believe him.
Yeah IIRC it was his first major motion picture after the epic culture blast that was Star Wars (Star Wars completely took over the entire summer zeitgeist of 1977- I mean it was absolutely huge and you couldn’t turn on and watch any of the ~6 broadcast television channels without seeing some reference to it). Of…
Reminds me of the van from Corvette Summer.
Needs an air-filter and nitrous.
A mid-80s Testarossa is like the quintessential big-80s glamour vehicle.
I lived in Pennsylvania for about 10 years, and they have always been Draconian about speed enforcement. After the nationwide 55 mph limit was repealed, it took years for Pennsylvania to finally raise the highway speed limit beyond that.
