@alan505: You're very close but TR-8 would be more insane, not only was it assembled by workers who hated the mangement, it was designed by engineers who hated mechanics. Have you ever seen the engine bay one one? Only the most masochistic Brittish car fan could love a TR-8.

@tonyola: I read that too and thought that fuel injection wasn't available on the Mustang until '87. I remember this because I was in high school and it was a big deal that in '87 the 5.0 made 225hp, hot stuff for 1987 (And the notchback LX 5.0 was the real enthusiast's car because it was nearly 200lbs lighter than

That car looks great.

@Robert Rooney: Hey, it's my fantasy congress, go get your own. In my fantasy world the revenue would go towards what was intended. You know, it would be as if all politicians kept their promises.

@Fodder650: So what were they doing wrong? There certainly seems to be a hell of a lot of water getting poured on that poor 'vette.

@MadisonSuicide: Was it the tires or did a fuel or oil line blow? It looked to me like the fire started underhood. Not that it really matters, I think this kind of burnout contest is pretty stupid anyway. If you're going to turn tires into smoke and heat you might as well have show some driving skill and drift or do a

@87CE 95PV Type Я has NFL Playoff apathy: usually chemical fires, in my (thankfully very limited) experience, don't respond well to water. Often the chemical just floats or otherwise gets displaced (see Cuyahoga river) and keeps burning. You need something to take away the oxygen.
