Mini
That was really well done. Next time Ray needs to take his mom to NAIAS to blog. That would be great.
The body is in better shape than 2/3rds of my cars, so I don't even think I'd do anything to the body. I'm not a purist so I don't care about swapping out the seats until I have the time/money/inclination to reupholster them (although I swear I can smell that musty old car interior smell from here. It may need to air…
@wætherman: Your logic is infallible. Sign me up!
@alan505:That looks like the cover art for the missing Pink Floyd album.
@SlowMo: Sorry if that was redundant, OOg posted while I was typing. So consider mine a +1 to OOg's comment.
@Ray Wert: And another thing, why is it formatted for such narrow screens? Is that because it must be the same as the mobile app? (I don't have a smart phone so I don't know what Jalop looks like on a smart phone). It looks like it is formatted for a fairly narrow screen, even on my small monitor I have ~1.5 inches of…
@Ray Wert: It really doesn't have to be a big thumbnail. really. Even something a little bigger than a profile pic would work (a 7ft tall woman in a sliver skin suit would still be identifiable and get people to click on it -see 'shiny thing' comment above). We're not talking about a ton of real estate.
@Matt Hardigree: Looks pretty good but the lack of graphics for articles in the sidebar is unfortunate. Cars are visual. Jezzebel/ Gawker/ etc. may discuss lots of stuff that doesn't need pics but most of what we discuss here has an interesting/cool/sexy/funny picture to go along with it. Can you squeeze a thumbnail…
@Awjvail: indeed.
@Scandinavian Flick: @Justin Hyde: Also, there is no way to control for people using hands-free devices and those that are not. Most locales have not banned cell phone usage outright because they believe that if you have a hands free device then it is similar to having a conversation with someone in the car.
@AMGkiller: I disagree on most of that but I have a 1st gen 2wd version so maybe your complaints apply better to the 2nd gen 4wd. As a reasonably economical small wagon I think it does fine and didn't have a lot of direct competitors for the price at the time, and remains that way in the used market. However, your…
@CraigSu: well, although he didn't spell it out, he did say, "A shock-absorption system inside the torque converter for instant lockup of the converter clutch" which should make it pretty clear that it is an autobox.
@jpech: @Tyson: I think you two have a new LeMons project.
@Tondeleo Hackt: Whaa???? Are you some kind of Psychopath? No matter how cold Detroit may be, I'm sure no one else looked at her and says, "I'll bet I can avoid dying of hypothermia if I cut her open and stay warm by covering myself in her guts." Eww. You're gross dude.
This list is so full of awesome cars, and three of them I'd never even heard of (Tapiro, Marzai, and 174).
@iancoleTX: Sadly, I would not take those odds.
@tonyola: Yes. I loved those and miss them. They were great fun and could haul crap too. Or even based on the sedan, make a true small wagon that isn't tall. Put a nice clean roof line on it like the last gen mazda 6 wagon.
@Ray Wert: You're in luck! Dual exhaust FTW!
