How about something new and innovative, like slap a wagon backend onto that pointy front end?
How about something new and innovative, like slap a wagon backend onto that pointy front end?
I've never read Vanity Fair, why do they have a gay car blog?
@SlowMo: edit.
Have things changed since being sold by Ford? What do you think is the biggest improvement with the new ownership? What changes would you like to see in the future?
@elchimpo: FWIW I think it was a Contour.
I like the MPV, but only 38 MPG highway? That's it? That is really disappointing. Sure, it crushes my '05 Matrix on City MPG, but with the 5sp and a steady foot I can hit 38MPG hwy no problem. I think there are Ecomodder guys that have Matrixes in the 50's Hwy (full belly pans, partial grille block + wheel spats).
In spite of how much I loved my Mirage Turbo, NA Miata, and '68 230 sedan, the award has to go to my beloved Mo, an '87 Toyota pickup. He's nothing special, 2wd and even has an automatic (I wanted a stick but Mo was too good of a deal to pass up) but he's done everything I've ever asked and never left me stranded. I…
@$kaycog: I hope the back of that van was full of foam blocks like those guys practice flips into. Otherwise I can't imagine that ending well.
@AMGkiller: that's what I was wondering. Why do people record what should be mundane events unless they are expecting some kind of humiliating failure that needs to be preserved for posterity and shared with the world? Usually when I do something that fails epically I am not anticipating the failure or else I wouldn't…
@Cheeseslap spanks his ACR for being good: I assume you meant negligible, but negligent (as in the design is negligent of the driver's need to see out of the vehicle) is good too.
@snap_understeer_ftw: you win.
@John Carter: I was wondering the same thing. I only see half a snail. Where's the compressor side? And has he even run this thing since he installed the turbo? I doubt it. I can't imagine any kind of magic spray paint that can survive being on the exhaust side of a turbo. WTF indeed.
@All Jimal wants for Christmas is a star: What's the problem? He's merely announcing to the world that his car is full of Europeans...
@cosworth_heads ported for bench racing: I saw that same tag on a Corvette in Maryland back in the 80's and I fell over laughing.
@pj134: @AMGkiller: Seriously. WTF. Nice friends. They don't seem to do anything to stop this guy. Wow. The kid may be a jerk but he's getting clubbed! At least try to calm the guy down. They just seem to stick their hands in their pockets and mope around. F*%#. The Eclipse driver may be a douche (I don't know) but…
@Matt Hardigree: @RocketSled: Yep, the caddy is listed as a '62 Fleetwood converted to aFlower Car.
Wow. I'm flattered that you like my dream project. I've been lusting after that Caddy for a while now.
@meatbag_pussrocket: Body work is always a tough call for me. I can do basic body work but I've never done paint or real high quality work so I tend to shy away from really cancerous patients that deserve proper care (my truck just gets the rust ground off and fiberglass slathered on, no sanding, then paint... after…
@meatbag_pussrocket: As a long-time fan of TR-6's, I'd have to go for that. What looks better than triple webers? very little.
@Superfast: Good luck with that. It sounds like a fantastic project.
