@The Stig's American Cousin: I think that was an option in the Nitro. Unfortunately it was only available with the sunroof.

Meh.
Did they really learn nothing from the colossal commercial failure of the V6 Accord Hybrid?
@evoCS-Hench-Minion to the stars: yeah, funny thing, for some reason they aren't there taking pictures of the male dancers... maybe they have too much clothing. Yeah, that'll draw a crowd.
@snapoversteer 'bout to get told: dammit! 1:49 and the Elliot Spitzer reference is already taken.
@Decisive: Yes. Hoon them. I've been advocating for a Jalop feature, "Will It Hoon?" where they try to hoon anything ;). If a reviewer attepmts some good hooning they will be able to comment on the issues of weight distribution, overall weight, etc. The TopGear track test of the Tesla a while back made it look like…
@evoCS-Hench-Minion to the stars: True, the lack of 17-year old girls at the unveiling does present a problem... All the more reason to question the intelligence of the marketing person who thought this up.
I would love to know what marketing person thought the smoke & dance thing was a good idea. I guess the target demographic must be 17 year old girls spending Daddy's money.
Don't cry big guy. Let's give them a fair shake and try them out first before declaring them lame. It sounds like the Tesla did not suck to drive and you guys sound like you are at least slightly curious about the CRZ. So, please, stop the "all hybrids are boring and they suck" stuff. Really, if that myopia is part…
I understand that concept cars are supposed to be "Conceptual" but show cars are like theater; the manufacturers, like directors, rely upon the viewers "willful suspension of disbelief" when showing a concept. The problem I have here is that showing a car with no doors pushes this too far and breaks the willful…
@karmakid: I'm pretty sure the frames are still made of Ash. I think some of them may sandwich some carbon fiber in there too but I think they've pretty steadfastly stuck with proudly sporting their wood.
@Scuba Steve: true, but it wouldn't look like a 7/8ths Mustang or have the power going to the correct wheels.
Any word on whether they'll make a real wagon version? The first gen in the US had the sedan, hatchback and a true, very roomy, wagon. I love the looks of both the hatchback and the sedan, I just like wagons with real cargo space instead of the sloping rear ends of hatchbacks.
@brandegee: +1 for the DFV. I worked in a shop where one of the cars had a DFV and it was an absolutely amazing engine.
@Cue the Coupé Coup: I totally agree on the fact that avoiding the environmental issues is short sighted and I really hope that is not the direction Wert thinks is somehow "libertarian".
@DrLemming: h-c for that. I admit I tone down my thoughts about stuff because I don't want to bait the anti-environmental hybrid-hating gang, I hope that Jalop can be a more thoughtful place whee cas can be judged and discussed on their merits no matter how they are powered.
@Bustedknuckles: I loved that article on the Odessey, IIRC they also had a 356 in the comparison and the Odessey spanked 'em both once they put some sticky rubber on it. I also have to complement your stable; those are all cars I would love to have in my fantasy garage, yes, even the Insight. To all the hybrid haters…
@PowerTryp is holding all the cards.: That should totally be her new avatar.
Welcome back 'neerd. And too all of the other old timers that reared their ugly heads at that post. Nice to hear from you all.
@Racin_G73 - dirt track legend (some day ... maybe): @BlandonNimrat: And I think they should try to interview one of the drivers of these big behemoths. Those guys (any gals?) must have HUGE balls (or their female equivalent, HUGE, uh, Ovaries???). I imagine they must be like the Jens Voight (hammerhead bicycle…
