@mountainman_66: Actually, I think you probably are the target demographic. A true motorhead that enjoys that drive even if the car isn't the newest, flashy-est, or most expensive.

hmmm, ok, I'm curious. I look forward to seeing how you right the ship. Mmmmmm more saucy Minx!

@layabout: I'm unproductive enough with just Jalop to waste time on. There's no way I have enough time to waste on both sites. At least for you a good chunk of the action over here is after business hours.

@layabout: hmmm, now that I look at the commenters over there, it seems that a good number of the MIAs from the Jalopnoverse have jumped ship over to Hooniverse. Ahh well, I never was good at keeping up with trends.

@layabout: He seems to be spinning wrenches and tapping on keys over at Hooniverse, I assume he may have an ownership stake in it. (bastard, how dare he make money on his endlessly entertaining tirades and commentary...)

@layabout: yeah, there's been some attrition or severe reduction in sightings of some of the old guard: Engineered (new job, I think), Rusty, Leeeeena, LegoTurbo, Charles, MadScience and a number of others. It may be that I'm just not seeing their comments but I think some have disappeared and some may have migrated

@Dominic Chan: holy crap that is awesome. I've never seen one of those. Nice choice.

@wkiernan: @TheWraithL98: Agreed, the 1st gen xBs were great. We looked at them when we were car shopping last year and we wouldn't even consider the 2nd gen. I daydream about 'caminoing one for LeMons someday.

@Quake 'n' Shake: I prefer the first gen like my wife has. I think the 'Coke-bottling' of the sides became a bit awkward and I don't like how they made the rear pillar so thick on the 2nd gen.

@rigidjunkie: You'd be right if this was Fiatsler, but it's not. Gm hasn't been bought by the Italians (or the Chinese...) yet).

@smokyburnout: Thank you. That was exactly what I wanted to do to it but I thought I'd check the comments first and I see you already adjusted the car for the 14 or 15 inch wheels it will actually have from the factory. What is irritating is that why don't they get real and design it around 14" or 15" wheels and make

@TRAMS_AM: I'm not quite sure I understand what you're saying. I think Racin_G73 and BullitFan and I are all saying that the talking heads will ream him no matter what he does. If he goes then they will say, "See! Here is Lord Obama surveying his mighty Socialist Car-Making Empire! You can see him looking down his

@skaycøg: Funny that they were so modest as to put a thong on on, uh, er, "it".

HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA H A HA HA

@Brad: yeah, it'd definitely be Biden with the canvas bag and the beer hat.

@Engineerman: Of course V8s are just fine for trucks; I'm just saying that not all trucks need them for the vast majority of things people actually use them for.

At first I was trying to think of a snarky response, like, "well, he didn't come to Philadelphia for Independence day either" but the more I thought about it, the more I think it might be a nice symbolic gesture for him to go and speak highly of the American car industry. The problem is people are so pissed off about

Lucky for GM the world is ending in 2012.
