@Engineerman: Before trucks experienced the same (if not greater) model bloat that cars did, the little 4clyinder in my truck can handle most of the jobs any non-commercial truck needs to. Most trucks do not need 300hp and the ability to tow 5,000lbs or the ability to tow uphill at 80mph.

@jpech: Agreed, they really need to make the Camaro in a 7/8ths scale, same thing with the Challenger.

@Dave7: I remember a guy that used to autocross one in (I think) 'H Stock'. I don't think there was a slower class than that. He was so proud of it and he firmly believed that he had read the rulebook better than anyone else and had picked the obviously best car for the class. I think his logic was simply, "It's A

@JayBrizzle: Nah, I think that's what they call "elevation changes" (I hate flat courses like that).

Wow, the last racing video game I played was TURBO. My how things have changed. I may need to get one of these and hide it in my workshop so my wife won't see me spending huge quantities of time playing it.

@Number_Six: Exactly my point. GM never brought that to the states, so I never knew it was better than the Elise it is based upon (isn't it a reskinned Elise? I thought only Chrysler showed a reskinned electrocuted Evora). This leaves it wide open to make something fun and awesome just as you and skaycog requested all

@Number_Six: Yeah, Ford hasn't done anything with either the Elise or the Evora chassis like other manufacturers (vaporware or not), they should jump on that now that Fiatsler has bailed on the Electric Evora.

@RyGuy: MX-5 Turbo Shooting Brake!

@nick2ny: I had a Wild Willy too. That thing took so much abuse (that sounds rather perverse). Then I put the pt360 high torque motor in it and started to wire my own battery packs to have 8 cells instead of 6. Good times. I later moved on to an RC10 but I think I always had more fun with Willy bashing around the

@weatherman: Damn imaginary friends always messing up my Sh*t.

@Old Grimey- The Original Automotive Sadomasochist!: I think they're very cool, I just haven't seen many on the road. I think most Americans who think they want "utility" don't actually want practicality, they just want size and power (how many people actually tow anything?).

I dread the day I get in the car and see the Blue Screen of Death, or the day I take a car to my mechanic and the first thing he asks is "Well, did you try Rebooting it?"

@mr_dude: "... and they suck at sports" caused me to spray coke on my keyboard. Thanks.

A 5x markup is nothing. The F*ing Toyota dealership charged me ~$50 for about a dozen plastic fasteners to hold on a side skirt on a Matrix. At least a 50x markup.

@Baby beater Benz: I saw one Transit Connect on the roads a few weeks ago, I'm still waiting to see a second one.

@HiramJahoovafat: Shhhh. Don't mention that name around here. There is some ugly history.

@Carplanetzone1: That would be awesome. There is really no other purpose for that car. Besides, what is more ironic than a reasonably priced car that you can't have because you don't own an unreasonably priced one.

Graverobber, you have simultaneously made English teachers across America cringe in horror and squeal in delight at the same time. I'm sure that when they've instructed their students to avoid cliches they thought they were simply encouraging children to try to think creatively with their use of language and to
