Roddenberry was excellent at coming up with the basic concept, but he would have hated some of the best that has come of the franchise. In some ways he was just as flawed as Lucas.

It has been a while, but they were a major lesson in how not to make a movie. Some still haven't learned (Sin City 2, I'm looking at you!).

My high school physics teacher was a delightful nerd and had some sway over the ceremonies. For an end of the year award assembly he got part of the above theme played, not the parts where everyone would know it as star wars, just the :48 - 1:43 stretch or so. A nice easter-egg for those of us in the know.

Fuck your vicarious martyrdom. It doesn't have to get into every comment thread about TV. It died. It was alright, but it died and it did so what is now quite a long time ago. It was so-so and really...really doesn't deserve this level of fansanity.

Something about your use of capslock and the topic made my brain add an H to your exclamation. Twasn't flattering. :D

It disproves that thing about "when you assume you make an ass out of u and me". He only made an ass out of himself.

You've become too accustomed to Steam sales. Just buy it. If you'd bought it years ago, your price-per-hour of game would be minuscule. That's the metric to think about. Even on a steep sale, the vast majority of triple-A games don't have nearly as great a price-per-hour as Minecraft (or, my newest addiction, Factorio)

Nah. Doughy Fieri with his deep-fried hair is a poor fit. This guy grew up in France during the war and is a bit of a badass. I'm picturing Jean Reno straight out of Leon (perhaps with Matilda waiting in the alley ready to take out the mob guy).

Did he say, "she wouldn't"? No. He said, "I wouldn't want her twerking". It's not a statement of control, paternalistic, parental, or otherwise. It's a preference. "Imaginary-future-daughter-figure, I'd rather you didn't overshadow your limited musical talent by pairing it with a video of you shaking your ass and pole

True, that specifically hasn't happened yet, but what should be setting off the warning bells is that it doesn't stretch one's imagination in the slightest to picture it happening tomorrow.

If only Gibbelins would take this wisdom to a single fiction writer, the problem would be solved! Why won't they just talk to each other!?

That's a good story. It simply isn't true though. I can agree with you that one side is getting louder and crazier but tell me about how the other side has been doing the same. I may not much like the other side, but they haven't exactly gotten loud or crazy. Spineless tends to be the word that comes to mind more than

There were two, your prior comment was missing one, and good lord. Have you not read your other post or read mine? I'm all for pedantry, but now you're just being an ass.

Have you been on the internet? Have you seen how sarcasm fails more often than it works there? Have you typed a few too many comments made only of questions? Has this silliness gone on far too long?

No one is saying you can't safely eat it, just that it's needlessly impractical.

You're on a site like this, wasting your time criticizing someone about their criticism of a fancy but deeply silly burger. And you have the gall to pull this #first-world-problems bullshit?

Do you have a TV? A computer? Yes to either means you can watch something on Netflix. A playstation exclusive is considerably more limited than that. Console exclusive games are obnoxious enough, but this series could have a wider audience than that minority fraction of the gaming community.

You see the words "most beautiful" and expect something possibly a touch garish? When you hear "delicious" do you expect something over-processed?
