That TV was black and white.
That TV was black and white.
CRT TVs, to this day, have/had the best colors, the best contrast ratio, the deepest blacks ... Their only real problem, picture-wise was bad geometry. Plasmas came the closest to the CRT picture, but they’re gone as well. I’d take a CRT over an LCD any day of the week. OLED holds promise — I own one, but keep going…
One of my best friends had this TV. We played Atari 2600 on it constantly and, just by default, he was the coolest kid in the neighborhood — all because of that television.
You should emphasize that above. Deadly Premonition is one of my favorite games ever — this coming from a real life fat guy who is not a shape-shifting villain (we actually exist, yo!). Unfortunately, as I lost my 360 copy and my PS3 broke, the only version I own is the PC port.
I didn’t even know there was manga. Will definitely check it out. Thanks!
How do these compare to Yamada’s First Time? I loved that anime. Did it ever have a second season?
Why isn’t the Kotaku Shop Contest a regular thing anymore?
How much patience do we need?
Any word on the single player mode yet? That’s the one I’m still waiting for before I buy.
It’s obviously the Russians.
I spent a decade asking that question. After saving over $1000 on groceries I would have bought anyway in just my first year of membership, I can answer, YES. Yes, it is worth it. I still want the me from the past decade to pay the me from now the $10,000 or more I would have saved had I became a member when I first…
I may be crazy.
That’s bothered me since first seeing the movie in ‘89. They weren’t remotely the same characters. There’s an interview out there with John Rhys-Davies objecting pretty strongly to how the character was portrayed in the third movie. He said he tried throughout to explain how he didn’t even feel like he was playing the…
What is that from? Seems like it could be awesome. Indiana Jones meets Scooby Doo, or something. Did you make it?
Ralph McQuarrie wants a word with you.
Yes. The Connery/Ford chemistry was grade A, but the movie itself was a lazy remake of Raiders of the Lost Ark. Really lazy. A catacomb of fuel where Indy carries a sparking torch through with nothing happening, but a match sets it ablaze? A book case that’s literally painted on the wall? Meeting Hitler at a rally…
I now officially have no reason to leave the house again.
CAPS indicates to you a less calm state of mind than repeatedly telling people to “fuck right off” like you keep doing? Fitting, I guess, from someone so backward they think the way the system works is guilty until proven innocent.
And therein lies the problem: You have ABSOLUTELY NO IDEA if any crime was committed. Do you see yourself as some sort of armchair vigilante?
They’re literally selling us cardboard now ... for $80?!? I do like this, just like I liked Project Cardboard from Google (an obvious inspiration). What I can’t believe is the price. You would think with the Switch controllers already being out of this world expensive they could have kept the price of their cardboard…
