The battery thing is the first thought I had, when reading your post. Also, a handheld that is even as powerful as a PS4 or Xbone would be considerably more costly than a PS4 or Xbone. There is some potential there though, if they can overcome these issues.

I haven't heard about a hybrid console. Do tell ...

Nintendo and DeNA expect to develop a new core system compatible with a variety of devices including PCs, smartphones and tablets as well as Nintendo's dedicated video game systems, and are to jointly develop a membership service utilizing this system, with a launch targeted for the fall of 2015. The companies expect

If they announce next year, it wouldn't be out until — at the earliest — holiday 2016. That's more than enough time for them to push the Wii U aside and say it's run its course. It's so far behind the competition tech wise and sales wise that if Nintendo does create another dedicated gaming platform, it will, without

If it's either, it's going to be a replacement for the Wii U. 3DS just had an upgrade. And with Nintendo now going mobile, coming up with another handheld doesn't make as much sense as counting their losses and putting out a true competitor to PS4/Xbone/PC.

I think they're talking about a successor to the Wii U, not the 3DS.

And...that's it. Iwata says Nintendo will share more information about the new hardware "next year".

"On the contrary, because now we have decided on how we will make use of smart devices, we have come to hold an even stronger passion and vision for the dedicated video game system business than before."

Seeking to put off questions that Nintendo's future would be entirely mobile, Iwata says that Nintendo is still very much in the "dedicated video game system market", and that their next piece of gaming hardware is code-named the "NX".

Fake, real, small, large ... doesn't matter. I'm a boob guy. Even when the boobs are painted on a guy.

Surely this must be the last one. Surely.

This article gave me a massive panic attack. There is no way I would do this — I probably could, but the anxiety level would likely kill me.

This HAS to be a joke. It has to.

The reason for the day one patch is right in the article above.

Then adding about 10X the storage space to these consoles would be the only practical thing to do. Xbone and PS4 should have both come with 5 terabytes, standard.

I don't hear you whining about Infamous being on the list, despite also doing nothing more than adding 19 new missions.

It's yours — as long as you also pay for shipping and packaging (for a box this size and weight, probably around $8, for a total of $33). Realize that you won't get the expansion packs, as, despite never using them, I've already claimed them. You will get all the collectible crap and everything's in great condition. I

I for one can't wait to see what kind of cheese people come up with next. By Wednesday we'll probably have a whole new set of exploits to use, which serves Bungie right for making it take like 2039482304823928 radiant shards to hit level 32.

There is no advantage, for the consumer, of buying digital media. None. Unless you like corporations to have complete control over the products you "own."

As long as you don't want to play games online, it's working. I can see online friends and chat with them. I just can't get them in a game (tried LittleBigPlanet3 and Destiny). What's up with that?
