What do you mean? You’re not sure if you should believe actual scientists and Doctors or people on Facebook and old Rich Politicians?

I don’t know who or what to believe anymore. I’m fucking done.

Wishing they wouldn’t breed isn’t pseudoscience, it’s an opinion. It’s not eugenics either because it’s just an opinion.

Wait what? Are you serious with this comment?

Four possibilities:

I don’t think Musk is ballsy enough

Of course Musk would support Epic Games. That guy has gone from “maybe he’ll actually help humanity!” to “he needs to shut the fuck up.”

The more time passes, the more I’m convinced that Elon Musk is secretly two twelve year olds crammed into one trench coat. I’ll admit it, the guy makes cool stuff, but he has the social graces of a horny teenager.

Still the best live-action Batman movie? I think yes.

Sounds great. Too bad I will not be upgrading to Windows 11 until they pry 10 out of my cold dead hands because I do not want to deal with an OS that requires me to always be connected to the internet and have a microsoft account to use. I will jump through the 10,000 wonky as steps of getting Steam and Windows games

This was a team event. What Biles was enduring was significantly hindering her performance. Even if we don’t consider the risk she was putting herself at, her scores were hurting the team. Her vault was the lowest scoring of the team by over a half point.

Just dismiss that person, they are a racist troll over on The Root.

Here’s the thing, though: Simone doesn’t have a “mental” issue to deal with, here. She got a case of the twisties (a real physiological condition) and she knows that if she tried to compete, tried to focus on what she was doing, and had all the training space she could get (like a foam pit), she still would not have

It implies it was ours by right.  An attitude that sums up everything wrong with America.

Counterpoint: Compare the discussion around Naomi Osaka’s refusal to do media and withdrawals from the French Open and Wimbledon to the discussion around Roger Federer’s withdrawal from the French Open after winning his first three matches to focus on Wimbledon and not risk aggravating his surgically repaired knee.

Seriously...even if someone truly feels that way, it wholly ignores the fact that much of the reason the gold was ours to lose was: Simone Biles. How quickly some people have turned on her in hard times, forgetting all the work she did and the glory she already won for the US, makes me ill. What a pile of garbage.

Yesterday during his opening sentences on ABC Nightly News, Lester Holt said the US Women’s team “lost the gold,” rather than “won the silver.” I wouldn’t believe it if I hadn’t seen it myself. I’m surprised no one has given him grief about it yet. It was incredibly unprofessional for a veteran TV presenter.

Again, if something goes wrong a gymnastics athlete could die. We have people who won’t take a perfectly safe vaccine to save their own lives and those of others, and you expect an athlete to risk death for their teammates for a competition that only has meaning because we decide it does.

(1) No they don’t.

It’s worse than you think.
