I don’t know why you would expect a large price disparity between the Civic hatchback and Crosstrek. The Crosstrek is just your bog standard slowass Impreza hatchback with some plastic cladding instead of plastic vents and a small lift.

I see Tesla is now doing with their cars what I used to do with my Bumble profiles. See, I’m not technically lying — you see, I used to be a chiseled, rippling mass of 6'4" muscle.

A running, driving 4WD with a reasonably nice interior and zero rust? $2400? NP all day long. Wiggle the connectors, clean up the sensors, hang a diagnostic device on the OBD port, and drive it until it falls apart.

I would pay 10k for my Alfa spider not to have doors. You can’t truly appreciate your life until you have wrestled an Alfa power window regulator.  Imagine a 30-50 year old greasy piece of piano wire that is slowly trying to kill you.

You say quarter pounder, I say royale with cheese.

I would argue that a 1934 Citroën Traction Avant was a still a better car than the 1989 Excel and dare I suggest, more modern.

My grandpa was the original owner of this 67, my dad is the third/current owner and just finished the full restoration. If I behave for the next few decades, I might be the fourth owner someday...

EMP ruining an analog car ECU! Oh man, that’s wild. I love that kind of esoteric car knowledge that (generally) only the mechanics come to find out. Thanks for sharing.

worked at a vw/Porsche dealership back then. we had one type 3 replace 3 computers in a month...that had the service wizards from new jersey up there for a week. turns out you couldn’t park at a radio station when they switched from night broadcasting to daytime power! I learned about EMP way back.
