Funny. When I talk to American Airlines pilots on their MDs, they generally like them. Yes, they’re old - you have to fly the things. Biggest complaint is that they’re hot up front but they’re NOT noisy for the pilots...or the pax in the front of the plane. I always like them - pilots said they were tougher than a $2 s…

Unpossible. If you’re not entertained driving a Spridget, you’re not a car person. Oh, and the ‘no syncros’ is only on first gear. 2, 3, and 4 have syncromesh...unless they’re worn out. If they’re good (and they’re pretty durable), it’s a sweet little gearbox....very direct.
