It should be noted that there are a lot of studies that say “You don’t get any more drunk at altitude than at sea level.”
First off, there’s some very inaccurate information about Bitlocker here.
My feeling is that there are probably no backdoors in Bitlocker. Such disk encryption is used by the military, which is something the NSA probably would not allow if there were an easy way to compromise that security.
That’s why we have low range gearboxes, which it has. It’s usually less about running out of torque and more about running out of ground clearance.
I actually own a 2016 trailhawk, it’s a glorious thing to drive. The looks, ‘eh, their polarizing, but whatever. It’s very capable in the snow, muck and mud. I’ve been having fun in mind all winter in the rockies. I’m still waiting for the trails to thaw out, but where I’ve had the option, it crawls amazingly well.
Hi guys, nice writeup! Just some minor clarifications, SeaComms (me, the second Dave in this story) distributed the info written by the first Dave (Valpacer) in Brisbane Australia. He did all the hard work with trial and error and ended up with this design using off the shelf parts and some good Aussie ingenuity! This…
Warranties. I can’t blame them for charging more for it as the 75 kWh packs will drop to an unacceptable performance before the 70 kWh pack. Assuming they do their software limiting intelligently a 70 will maintain being a 70 longer due to wear leveling / additional tolerances, so there will be less replacements…
I bought one these a few years back. It’s been awesome. I can make a hearty stew that tastes like it’s been on the stove for 4-6 hours in 45 minutes. That said, even while they say it can double as a crock pot, it doesn’t do so well at keeping low temps (it always scorches it). It does however work as an exceptionally…

I’ve not had any issues with AirPlay with my systems or any of my clients and I use it far more than most. I’d start off by uninstalling whatever airplay app you are using (AirServer/Reflector/etc) upgrading any wifi drivers (or if already current, delete any manufacturer provided drivers and use Microsoft’s), and…
To put this into context, that data means optimizing paths through advertising including billboards, signs for businesses and how to best exploit user behavior. At this point, it isn’t strictly automated driving yet (that will come in later), but instead a in-dash navigation system that might “prefer” to send you…
Ever read the auto industry push back on catalytic convertors and, moving away from leaded gasoline or MPG requirements? They said flatly that it couldn’t be done. History proved them wrong.
For the same price or less, you can get models that don’t require replacing the outlet or any electrical wiring: https://www.snappower.com/ I’ve had mine for a while (was a backer) and have been pretty happy with them. They just replace the outlet cover, not the actual electrical socket. It has nubs that line up with…

Bingo. Ankle coverage for scree and thorns when you need to be off trail is great, but only if it’s flexible enough to not get in the way. If you want the same protection without having to swap shoes, you might want to look into a pair of Gaiters. I often pair them with trail runners so I can have light and flexible…
This is a great comment.
Yes. I once did some field work in the woods with some fire management workers who had to wear mid-calf lace-up stiff leather boots as part of their uniform. They called them “ankle breakers” because of the instability, ankle weakness, and injuries they caused. Stiff ankle support is not necessary for most people.…
This is actually a really complex issue as there are some misconceptions and myths surrounding the “hiking boot”, but first let’s unpack this and talk about picking the right shoe for the job in the first place.
Wheel bearings, with spacers you’re extending the hub out further and adding stress to the wheel bearings. You’ve essentially added a longer lever to the wheel bearing and added a lot more stress to them by doing so.
Don’t do it! The sheepshank is unstable and unsafe.
...and, unfortunately, learn how to look for signs of bedbug infestation, put your luggage in the tub for now, and check the bed and furniture! Here’s a good video tutorial.
