I'm still holding out hope that Timesplitters: Rewind gets released and enough love to merit a Timesplitters 4...2 was the last FPS I really loved. That series had color, personality, fun, a compelling multiplayer AND single player aspect...just excellent and I wish there were more games like it.

How's the racing and the online for DriveClub? I recently bought a PS4 and The Crew because it was on sale and I've been talking with a friend about being able to drive across the US in a game for 6 years now, the semi-reality of that made it a must-buy...but it's ok, racing and graphics-wise. I heard DriveClub had

A few points there; one, the past few generations point doesn't hold water if a) you haven't bought one of those recently or b) the other cords are lost/broken or just simply in use by somebody else.

Watchmen = Oh yeah, that movie was great, what are you talking about?

Yeah fair enough, it's not a big thing, the cognitive dissonance of Mortal Kombat and Mario Kart is just more amusing than any of those haha

It's not that I "miss" load times, but I do fondly remember games that used loading transitions well. This is one example, another being the Gummi Ship in Kingdom Hearts. IIRC after your first trip you could just warp travel everywhere so the Gummi Ship was no longer necessary, but if you put the time into it during

Firstly, holy crap I did not realize they were still making those games. Never really my cup of tea, don't have the patience or general inclination for that level of customization. I know people love it though.

That's entirely fair; I'd argue that if it has a tangible effect on the game and only pre-orderers can access it then that's not a practice I'd like to see continue. That's both for the sake of balance and to not force gamers to cross their fingers hoping the game isn't broken because they pre-ordered it for extra

I kept confusing myself reading your post since I've never actually seen someone refer to the series as "MK", that's usually Mortal Kombat's area...and those are two very different series haha

Ok, this entire press release is bullshit, but even while I generally hate people using this phrase...this can't be a coincidence and is pretty amusing. In the midst of a ton of other crap.

Alternatively, the company could just, you know, actually put that stuff in the game we're already paying full price for. But maybe that's just old-fashioned.

Two things there; one, yes Nintendo is already doing those things but that doesn't mean other companies can't still do the same more often. And two, it's often less that people won't buy it as much as people like the options on other systems, in addition to some games like that. Off the top of my head for my console

I for one would still be defending the CFP even if the game had been #1 and #2 blowing out #3 and #4 and then #1 blowing out #2 because it's closer to a more objective system. FAR too many people seem to promote uncertainty and controversy as a plus with college football, which has baffled me to no end. 4 still isn't

Love it, though at best they'd only agree to 1 non-power conference champion, with the possibility a 2nd could be one of the at-large teams. Plus, I do like the idea of an at-large because there are certainly years where a conference has two very worthy contenders.

Maybe I'm the crazy one, but I prefer allowing the teams to actually settle things instead of just arguing about hypotheticals for weeks on end. On that note, I'm happier with 4 but have always said that wasn't enough teams, and TCU still stands as evidence to that effect.

When it comes to paying players, that doesn't necessarily mean there's less merit to that question. Look, first things first, I'm certainly for the idea. But I do wonder...would that just cover the money sports? Doesn't seem fair to the just-as-hardworking hockey players or cross-country runners or basically every
