This thread is hilarious. Thanks to all involved.

In trying not to give anything away, I will say I savored BoTW in the same way, playing on the Wii U until all but completed. Recently though, I went back, playing it all again on PC with Cemu in true HD at 60+fps and it was *absolutely glorious*... until it ended.

I was not totally disappointed in the finale, but now

I thought the same. Given Actraiser’s admittedly bare-bones sim though, what’s briefly shown here seems like it could work. Here’s hoping, anyway!

Disappointing news for sure, but thank you for the info!

Long time fan. Graphics (shadows, specifically) look just a bit rough, but what little of the gameplay mechanics / pacing I can see here seems authentic to the classics. Getting more excited! Looking forward to the PC port, hopefully with painless and cross-platform multiplayer.

I kind-of liked Altair for that reason. Sort-of a blank player avatar, like Samus or Master Chief, making AC1 the easiest one for me to get into, personally.

Understandable concern, but Nexus Mods does not allow content to be withheld as part of any reward or the like. All content must be provided for free.

Hey, Nexus Staff here. The current paypal donation systems will likely remain in place for the foreseeable future, separate from the upcoming donation points system.

I spent a few months creating a unity game. I told myself that unlike most things, I’d finish it. I did. Now, I can’t bring myself to release it. I hate it. Not sure when that happened. Perhaps some of the content you linked will at the very least, remind me that I’m not crazy. Thank you Patrick!

don’t get the embedded video mixed up with the mod in question. the video is for another mod entirely (intentionally low quality, high performance) and is simply given as an example for the “potato skinning” technique mentioned.

I love and respect you guys Jason (kotaku as a whole). However, please attempt to distance yourself from this situation and stay objective. Taking sides is not helping anyone’s case.

I'm pretty sure "Haegemonia" is the closest thing to a we have to a homeworld clone.

Looks good and very much like WipEout, but the way the vehicle moves seems a bit off. That bit reminds me of SkyRoads.

I like everything about this.

There are many frames of animation that will protect ryu from explosions. Of course, timing is everything.

So i guess i'm the only one who is thankful for this. I for one will appreciate the tried and true game mechanics, recognizable (yet sharper) asthetic, deeper meta game, and hopefully more modern UI, rather than a "reinvention of the genre" as is so popular these days. We all know how well that usually turns out...

Now playing

Hi Luke. I've been following your soundtrack posts for a while and it would seem that we have somewhat similar tastes. I stumbled upon these guys recently and thought you might enjoy 'em too, assuming you haven't had the pleasure already. Cheers, and thanks!
