They’re cheaper: The average landline bill is around $42 a month, compared to $127 a month.”

We weren't killing god at first. That came later. At first it was mostly demon lords and dragons.

My husband and I have been using Out of Milk for years now, which seems to be made by the same company that makes Grocery List Ease. Looks to be pretty much the same thing but with a different interface that I vastly prefer. (I really hate that yellow paper look on a digital screen.)

Right? The top reason I use my wire racks so rarely is that I hate cleaning them so much. So many little spaces with food stuck in them! And that’s when I’m just using it to rest other food on top of. I can’t imagine intentionally smushing food INTO the wires like that.

We stay away from pyrex now because their measuring cups pour terribly, always dribbling and spilling. Anchor Hocking has been much better.

I’m not that interested in the premium bits, but if they sell the decks by themselves for a reasonable price (maybe with non-Holo versions) I’d be really tempted to pick them up.

Oh, I make these all the time (in a half batch, because there’s only two and a half people to cook for) to go with my chicken cream stew. I never considered just making one giant biscuit and cutting it smaller afterwards before.

Yep. My daughter takes art classes, and there's no room in there for parents. They actively won't let you stay. If I don't have any shopping to do nearby I usually enjoy a blissful hour and a half of reading a book quietly in my car with heated seats.

Are they still super punishing? We enjoy campaign/legacy games and were excited to get started on the first one, but packed it away after one session when we got hit with multiple permanent penalties after a bad card got drawn at the wrong time, with the rulebook promising that our characters could even get killed due

If there’s one thing that takes me out of the moment, it’s thinking about the mess we’re making by using too much and how I'm going to have to change the sheets after. And 100% agreed about some friction feeling better than none at all. There's a reason toys have texture. Perfectly smooth is not the best.

I don’t remember all the details because it’s been a few years, but I definitely remember there being this whole section in Salt, Fat, Acid, Heat about how cakes made with oil turn out more moist than with other fats. You’ll probably get some texture differences.

We’ve got a separate local credit union account, purely so that we have a physical bank location to visit in the situations where we need a lot of cash at once (mostly to pay contractors doing pricey repairs/upgrades on our house) because our primary checking/savings account is at Ally for their high interest rates

My parents were divorced, with my mom (who I lived with) being extremely poor on a teacher’s salary and my dad (who I visited every other weekend) being a silicon valley engineer joking about how he should buy a yacht.

Is this just an ad? I’ve never seen or heard of this product before today.

I’m not in it for the titillation, sometimes it bugs me that otherwise realistic games just kinda... pretend this stuff doesn’t exist. People have genitals! All the time! Even when they’re not being used for sexy stuff! Can’t we just accept that?

Is she okay? That sounds incredibly painful.

Unless they fundamentally change the form factor like they did from 3DS to Switch for whatever comes next, I expect the next console will be backwards compatible. And considering we had rumors and leaks of what the Switch would look like for years before its release, and we really don’t have anything like that now,

Peanuts evolved to do that because in the wild, they lived in an area with lots of wildfires in the summer. Burying their seeds underground is a good way to protect them from the flames so that they can sprout into new plants afterwards. Surprising that more plants in such areas don't do that, actually.

How do people own that many pairs of jeans?

Our windowsill is too narrow for a phone, so I’ve been using the very corner of the sink, though I have to be careful and make sure it’s not wet first. I keep thinking about how I should really put in a little shelf. It would definitely be nice to have a dedicated place to put something down.
