Same here - I didn’t even watch the show beyond the first 3 episodes or so, but I read the recaps every week /facepalm
For me it’s horrible because of the vile grease applied to it, not because of the microwave aspect. I can’t stand margarine.
Throw some popcorn in a paper bag, pour in a little oil, seal the bag tightly, and microwave. Get the convenience of microwave popcorn with the same quality as homemade.

The show is pretty interesting. The concepts that it portrays about an ever expanding empire of von Neumann style probes with crystalline stratus for their artificial intelligence, but in the guise of a story of an emotionally mature adolescent coming into his own.
One of several prequel ideas I was predicting they’d go with.
True Blood is still good, campy fun. It’s been five years since True Blood ended, and I’m still up in arms about how poorly Tara was treated as a character. That show’s writers seemed to really hate either the character or the actress. Holy shit her (spoiler alert for a show that’s been done for half a decade)…
