No book feels as good as butter tastes. (But your book idea sounds cool! Sorry if this question is obnoxious but: Have you read American Gods?)

I used to describe myself as a writer. I used to write. Then I moved to Texas, got married, and found myself with less time for passion projects as my work life took more of my brain power. Since then, my ability to do grammar properly has dwindled.

Plus she is way, way more excited about Olympics stuff than most of the news people there, so it seems like a win-win.

There’s a moment in her reading where she’s trying to do a Scottish accent. It’s very cute because she admits its a bad impression, and she giggles to the engineers in the booth. The whole audiobook is good but that moment makes it great.

I would be down with this because her whole platform would be 1. end poverty 2. promote literacy 3. treat people with kindness 4. have a good party with friends (Surprise! everyone is invited because everyone is her friend).

We do a ton of preserving. We have a 2.5 acre garden for a few families, and we all pitch in along the way. The goal is so we don’t buy as much food year-round. Anyway, lots of vegetables get blanched, cut up, vacuum sealed, and frozen. Fruits normally end up in jellies or canned in a sugar water mixture.

Er, no...that moment was ACTUALLY funny.

I’d almost be in favor of it if we just replaced “bless you” with “nice sneeze!”
