“PlayStation 5 is launching with - at bare minimum - a new, most likely exclusive Spider Man game”

Steam isn’t the only place to purchase a game. It’s the only place to download the game; you can purchase most games lots of places.

Wait until you play the rest of the Assassin’s Creed games and notice the historical liberties taken there!

It’s almost like they addressed that in the second half of their post about the price coming down as technology advances.

Fwiw, there was followup from the CEO of the esports division.

I don’t think that’s what this was at all though. It seems like they decided they were going to change the genre and mechanics of a long-running series to match other games, and literally nobody asked for that. The people who like Ghost Recon didn’t want it to be Destiny, and people who like Destiny (and similar

Yeah, it sucks to wait years to see what happens in the next episode.

Code Name: S.T.E.A.M. was fantastic. It really sucks that it didn’t do better.

It’s not a more realistic version of FF7 Carbuncle, because Carbuncle wasn’t in FF7. As such, it doesn’t matter if someone wasn’t around when FF7 wasn’t initially released, because nobody has an opinion on FF7 Carbuncle prior to today.

It’d have a lot of weird, cascading ramifications that likely lead to tanks having massive health pools. I don’t think there’s any way it’s an improvement, but could be neat for an Arcade mode.

“apparently not forseeing that it’s going to create a new meta instead.”

Sure, and I’d like to buy everything for peanuts too, but that doesn’t mean it makes financial sense for the game to sell everything for dirt cheap either. If they sell each armor set for a dollar each, do they sell enough to cover the artist’s man hours, let alone anything resembling a profit?

It being split into multiple parts is concerning though. It’s weird to think that them splitting disc 1 in half doesn’t mean at minimum 4x$60 for the remake, and that that in turn isn’t a concern for people.

I don’t understand how we’re classifying JRPG if both FF Tactics and Kingdom Hearts are JRPGs. Is the definition merely “RPGs made in Japan”? If so, are Nier Automata and Dark Souls JRPGs?

I think I saw it in the Eververse when I was skimming? I was distracted by Flash Kick so I’m not 100% sure though.

I wish Remember Me was a bit better. It had so many cool ideas - build-a-combo, memory re-writing, but they were so unfortunately used. And playing Remember Me around the same time as I played one of the Batman games, I recall thinking Remember Me was like a linear Batman in terms of navigation, which was also

I’ve always said Sleeping Dogs was my favourite GTA game. It’s GTA, but not nearly as slow story-wise, and feels way better to control. I’m sad a sequel never happened, because I would’ve loved another game in the same gameplay and story style.

This is the least surprising outcome possible. Anyone who thought they’d be getting a better deal than they were with lootboxes was fooling themselves.

If he’s getting 2.5 K/D in those lobbies, then him being brought to your level is effectively the same as you playing with the noobs, no? Given the options of punishing you for playing with a friend that’s better than you, or punishing everyone that gets queued against you and your friend, the choice is pretty obvious.

I will grant that the 3DS textures won’t look as nice as the newer textures, but the difference isn’t as tremendous as you might think.”
