But they aren’t. 90% of them don’t actually get many viewers.

I feel the same way about Dark Souls as a series. The easiest way to understand this, and any rating phenomenons, is that there is no objectively “good” game. If someone says a game is 10/10, it means it’s an amazing game for them specifically. Look at what other games they like, and the things they say about the game…
If it catches a hold of you, it won’t hold up your backlog very long. It’s a very good game, but not overly long, and basically not replayable except in a severely diminished capacity. If it appeals to you, definitely pick it up; I still think about it periodically despite beating it on PC like last year.
You’re welcome to spit on them for it. And I’m sure you’d feel ecstatic for the layoffs if they got kicked out of the Chinese market because they didn’t come down hard enough on this one guy (see: the NBA situation).
Stuff like FPS and input method doesn’t matter in this context. To illustrate, imagine two players with a hypothetical ranking of 65. It doesn’t matter if one is playing on a Switch and his FPS is dropping his hypothetical ranking from 75 to 65, or that the other player is gaining 15 ranking from playing with mouse…
Yeah man, that three year old should keep her head up. That’ll help.
No, it’s not, because XIII was not a remake of a game that they then split into multiple games. This isn’t a new game, people know what happens in it. Just because they’re padding it out doesn’t make Northern Crater not in FF7 - Episode 3, after spending $180 and waiting multiple years.
... Do you think FF7 was a niche game that only hardcore gamers played?
“It also means that a single marketplace, run by a for-profit company with some pretty shitty business practices, controls the fates of developers...”
“Does this sound like a real list of features or a fan just listing off their dream GTA features?”
Why would they put these out on the same day they’re releasing XI on the same system? What a silly idea. :|
(Psst, the Recruit-a-friend program has existed for years. The previous incarnations were just simpler to the point that very few people actually recruited a friend, and used the RAF to powerlevel an alt, or simply just bought it for the mounts)
“And with World of Warcraft Classic getting so popular, the fact that none of the item rewards are usable in the old-school version of the game makes the idea of ridable camels and monkey friends much less appealing.”
(The entire monastery and all accompanying features are annoying)
Role lock still sucks for quick play, especially if you play with enough friends where someone is forced into a role they cannot keep up with. I’d rather solo heal and have someone on a character they can play than have someone wasting a spot on support because we have 3 people who play DPS.
I can’t really think of any non-E3 directs that are memorable to that degree, to be honest.
Right?
Or say, if Final Fantasy because an Action RPG?
But like... why? Was WotC considering releasing on Steam until Epic brought out the bag of money? And if they were... why?
Maybe if you’re being beaten by someone who can’t hit headshots, you should try improving at the game as it’s actually played and not your imagined version of the game.
