Best thing I ever did was upgrade to pro and turn off all updates for as long as I could.  I think major updates are up to a year and the patches or whatever are 30 days.  So far so good.

Like Final Fantasy, 15 I won’t actually play this until I can play a complete version of it. That probably means I won’t be playing it for 10 years but oh well. I hate episodic content with a passion. It’s almost like the console equivalent of a PC early access game.
