It’s funny because I agree that if I had played neither and just picked up the console for the first time I would most likely choose the SFC version simply because the buttons are all the same rather than 2 concave buttons. However, because of my childhood I will forever prefer using the US version.
That is really interesting. Two of the buttons are concave on the US version as well but they are all rounded on the other. It’s weird that more than just the color of the controllers was different.

Beta tests now days are simply rewards for preordering a game or whatever. I doubt they did anything with the data they received from the so called beta test.
