This is why I hate that consoles are so focused on 4K. Most games they can’t even get running at 30FPS 1080P fully stable without occasional dips. They’re way too focused on how good the games look especially in screenshots.

They don’t have to continue the story. They could just present the story that has already been told in RTS format or inject all sorts of side story or even push new story into the main storyline and say it is stuff that hasn’t been told. I doubt they’ll do that but they could do anything they want.

The widescreen will be nice. I’m not too interested in a remaster though as the game itself is still great. Unless it is Warcraft 4 I am not getting too excited. If it’s a mobile game I will wish I hadn’t even given the company a minute of my time thinking about it.

For me the dpad is probably the most important thing on a controller due to the platforming type games I like to play with a controller. I play FPS games with a KB+M. Nintendo used to have the dpad down perfectly. The Wii U pro controller is great. They kind of lost the crown with the Switch pro controller though and…

Could you theoretically use a modified controller that let you press down both directions at the same time, like by using a controller with a dpad similar to a Switch joycon? Are controller mods like that accepted if they would give an advantage?

Hard to beat the art style of the original. That was the same problem with all the 3D remakes on the Nintendo DS. They went from beautiful 2D sprites to those ugly polygon characters. Even going from SNES to Playstation was bad. Look at how well the original Final Fantasy VI looks compared to Final Fantasy VII.
