So what’s the moral stance you’re not describing? Cause you described a vegan moral stance somewhat accurately, but not a meat eater one.

I didn’t read the article I’m just still pissed about that costume design. Silver webs???? SILVER WEBS?!
I’ll be honest I only clicked through cause of the header image. I can’t believe that’s an actual picture of the experiment!
Fair enough. And I understand if it seems like a minor issue to you. I don’t agree with that—art and life exist in a feedback loop, and the race issues in media are a reflection of the race issues in the world at large—but I can understand that your life experience is different than mine.
As a fan of the show who felt uncomfortable when I found out Alison Brie voices her—especially considering I watch the show with my Asian American housemate, who has said it’s weird too—yes, I do think it’s notable.
Bojack Horseman is a speculative fiction comedy so it falls under the purview of io9. The conversation is about the practical—in the realm of entertainment—application of social sciences so again it does suit io9's mission. The creator of the show did an interview which has gained traction, so it’s news, so it belongs…
Ok, so let’s workshop a proper ending for the trilogy that actually ties the mythology together so that by the time Hollywood is desperate enough to reboot it we can throw in the answer to everything. How about this?
Same here.
Chiming in as the Creative Writing major:
D.Va in pew-pew mode is actually really good if you can aim. Projectiles have advantage over hitscan shots in that it’s more likely that people will just walk into them, and timing isn’t as important. Her gun is stronger and faster than Mercy’s.
I can’t fucking wait. I’ve been rewatching the first season at a slow pace with a writer’s eye, trying to suss out just what made this show so lovely to watch.
I know io9 always does the freeze-frame thing picking apart new trailers but I was so hype about this that I did some freeze framing myself.
I agree broadly with your point but I want to add that there are markets for non-recreational drugs. Adderall and other such study drugs are really popular on college campuses, for example. Steroids and growth hormones, too, if the campus is sport-heavy.
Fuck you. Mushroom gravy.
I can’t really argue that test screenings are bad for film—although many filmmakers have—but adding explainers for the less intelligent members of the audience is a great way to make a movie boring. Christ, just trust that some people will get it and explain it to their idiot friends.
Me too.
The art is beautiful but I just don’t think the silhouette is distinctive enough. OW already has problems with some of its female characters—Mercy, Symettra, and out-of-mech D.Va—having too similar a silhouette, and this character would add to that problem.
All of the WW fans I know reject the new origin and insist she is made of clay. So do I.
Ugh. I think you’re right, but god I hope not.
While I wholeheartedly disagree with your defense of Secret Empire, I do agree that Punisher has always been a fascist fantasy. Anyone who thinks otherwise is kidding themselves. He only functions as an anti-hero in the world of Marvel because Marvel has characters who are orders of magnitude worse than him. In a…
