Ever since Larian’s head talked openly about all the WotC people he worked with being fired by Hasbro, I’ve known deep down we wouldn’t get a sequel. But that’s okay, I love BG3 for the story, not the D&D mechanics specifically, I’m happy as long as they keep making games!

How interesting. They laid off 800 people last March so they could restructure and focus on the right projects https://kotaku.com/ea-layoffs-jobs-andrew-wilson-profits-electronic-arts-1850281078. I’m sure this time the restructuring will work and that it has nothing to do with giving more money to execs or stock

I’ll just throw out there that “Yo-ho-ho and a bottle of none” made me laugh. Thanks for the review/warning

What a great way to remind all the people who stanned for the Microsoft/Activision merger (I was one of them, honestly) that Microsoft is just another soulless entity that will slowly whittle down the company it acquired, just like every other corporate acquisition.

Same reaction as the Game Awards trailer years ago, voiceovers over non-gameplay CGI don’t do much for me. I know I’m excited for the story, I just want to know how it’ll look and play.

I remember scouring Gamestops back in the day trying to find a copy of this, love this game. The HD version on my Xbox still looks pretty good, but I’ll probably rebuy this since, yeah, I’ll be shocked if we ever get BG&E 2.

No Return mode genuinely sounds fun, but I’m going to pass. I didn’t mind the Part 1 remake because the PS3 graphics benefitted from the tune-up. Part 2 still looks great, and also the game made me sad and I’m not ready to go back to it lol.

I recently watched an old long-play of the MGS series by TeamFourStar, and it’s fascinating seeing the highs and lows of that series when it comes to female characters.

I’m just waiting for 343 to fix that spinning-in-the-air death animation that’s been happening for literal months. It happens maybe every ten deaths and it’s so obvious, I can’t imagine why it’s taken so long to patch out.

This reminds me of how Disney refused to pay royalties to Star Wars novelization authors like Alan Dean Foster after it acquired the IP. They decided that they’d acquired the rights to the content but not the obligation to pay for Lucasarts’ agreements, and they had to be shamed for months before they resolved the

Also Portal 2. The freaking MOON. The turret opera. “When I delete you maybe I’ll stop feeling so bad.” Wheatley hanging out with the space orb. Chell finally being free. I’m mad we never got closure for Half-Life, but I’m super happy Portal got the ending it deserved.

Horizon Zero Dawn’s ending is always going to stick with me. (Spoilers obv)

Okay, that’s totally fair. I’m in a bad mood today because of Supreme Court stuff and I took it out on Blum cuz of Cawthon’s donations. Not fair of me and I’m sure Blum’s a good filmmaker.

I mean, I won’t make fun of Blum, I’ll probably just ignore his movies if he thinks Scott Cawthon is a really special, smart guy that you should listen to for plot ideas. Pretty indicative of what kind of quality to expect.

Yeah, 343 planned Spartan Ops better by (A) releasing the scenes more quickly and (B) actually having you play themed missions, I liked it a lot too even if it didn’t pan out story-wise. Infinite’s cutscenes are totally abbreviated from Spartan war games (multiplayer) and from what Master Chief was up to.

Every time I booted up Infinite S3, it would autoplay the cutscenes as if I hadn’t seen them already. Happy that won’t be a problem now lol.

The initial trick used TAS. The three speedrunners mentioned in the video and article did it with a controller in real-time.

Iron Bull rant time! I took that guy everywhere, including dragon hunting and drinking. I thought I exhausted my quest options with him, but for some reason I never got his companion quest. So I get to the Trespasser DLC and have the charming scene of distracting him while his still-alive Chargers squad drag his gift

They explained away XV having no women by being all about boys’ friendships or whatever and now they’re doing the european history thing to justify the whiteness. I didn’t buy 15 cuz it looked narratively boring and I’ll probably skip this too. It just shows a lack of imagination. There’s so many ways you can bring

I really love the Mario Party 2 soundtrack and still listen to it sometimes for fun work-focus music, so it’s a little sad hearing how much Mitsuda disowned it. I’d pay good money to hear all of the rejected jazzy soundtracks he made but I’m sure they’ve been deleted for decades.
