From my experiences in education, I will tell you that the “Women in X” problem will never be solved unless you stop trying to treat groups as homogeneous monoliths.

haha it sucks even worse when they’re right

what a dumb suggestion. a hundred dollars for a game?! are you rich or stupid? or both?

Everyone’s talking about price hikes and microtransactions; meanwhile I’m wondering why studios don’t reign in budgets more. It seems like every game these days is either an indie or a AAA; they need to bring back PS2-esque “B” games.

Get that stick out of your ass. “WHITE”, “PRIVILEGE”, “TOXIC” I turn my brain off whenever I start reading that shit.

ah, the dreaded slippery slope!!!!

I like how you complained about implicit bias while showing implicit bias.

Well, that guy ditched the plane, different outcome, and the common denominator between the two events is commercial airplanes, which was what my question was about. Grow up.

Sure it would—you just don’t hang out in pilot forums. No one’s saying that she didn’t perform admirably—just a question of how admirably.

And, yes, I’m a woman. There’s enough sexism and misogyny around that you don’t need to invent it.

Not casting any negative light here at all, but the situation here was 100% different than the Hudson River deal.

1) The poster didn’t impugn the pilot, merely asked what features the plane had. You inferred the pilot was impugned.

It’s not harassment anyhow. People need to learn what words mean. Harassment, racism, sexism, and a whole slew of other words have been so misused this past decade that they mean nothing now.

Appreciate the response. You can disagree, everyone is entitled to their opinion. However I think it’s a bit naive or perhaps willfully ignorant of you to just assume most online “bullies” must also be bullies off the net. There’s also the implication you make that most people who exhibit this behaviour online know or

“Toxic” behavior has existed on the internet since its inception. Really it all boils down to the fact that people/kids on the internet are mostly, if not entirely at times, anonymous and so there aren’t much if any repercussions for their behavior. For this reason people/kids use the platform as a means to “vent” and

The best solutions to cyberbullying is to buy a lot of plane tickets.

You’re a fan of bullying to get what you want in the end.

If anything, I at least hope it makes women feel safer and less alone in this community, knowing that they have advocates willing to rise to their defense.

Bully Hunters was worse than doing nothing.

What on earth makes them think that the people harassing others are going to care if they are called out/killed in game for harassing others?

The fact you’ve already aligned anyone who doesn’t think positively of this clearly manufactured scam as someone you can dismiss speaks great lengths about how far you’d actually go to have a real conversation about the subject.
