“painstaking” is quite the word for four shot recreations. The guy has talent, money, and connections, but...

Knuckles watching a geriatric throw a child despite being the only one of the bunch who’s known to climb walls.

Crow is an MST3k reference and there’s nothing you can say to not make me believe that.

Battle Pass and “Good.” Not my thing but to each their own. This trend just ain’t it.

The industry is really giving companies a run for their money in the “Layoff of the Year” category at this year’s Game Awards…

Not surprised, but I won’t lie and say I’m not disappointed. Have no interest in consoles and it’s all so homogenized at this point that this feels strictly like an attempt to avoid piracy...which, fair, but come on.

His crusade went both ways. The dev rights were used for his company’s personal benefits. The consumer side was still very much there. We as consumers would benefit because of some dreamland scenario where suddenly publishers passed savings onto us. But it was him trying to frame the consumer as the one who should be

Tim Sweeney allowing propaganda geared towards children!? I would have never expected this from the man who misunderstood 1984 and shoved that in people’s faces while pretending he was some kind of champion of consumer rights. Surely the open “metaverse” will limit this kind of behavior from other companies.

We joke obviously, but that was I believe the last real holdout of exclusivity that wasn’t directly funded/published. The only other games I can think of are the KH games.

You just had to fit Starfield into this one too, huh?

I’ve tried scrolling through this article on mobile 5 times now only for it to refresh or skip somewhere and I’ve given up. I don’t care anymore. You got your impressions but I’m done.

Yeah, Jimmy Urine killed it with the soundtrack (and Zeke), but like most things these days, shit comes to light and taints the entire thing in hindsight. Shame too because I was/am a massive MSI fan.

Those late PS2/earlier 360 days were great times. Growing up with my closest friends within walking distance meant that most Friday’s after school and weekends were gathering up at each other’s places and gaming and hanging out. Cherish those memories. College with Gears, Smash, Left 4 Dead,SF4  and the like also

I am ashamed at how much of the Goo Punch rap I have memorized.

GET ME THE MAYOR!

Someone needs to pick up the slack.

Looks just as lifeless as last time. We’ll see though, at least there’s proper voices this time around. There was a big FGC push last time in terms of marketing so maybe they’ll cut that back a bit and focus on it from a casual standpoint. I can’t see it lasting any longer in the zeitgeist compared to the first game.

These “family” of websites are UN-FUCKING-USABLE on mobile. It’s a headache navigating while everything constantly loads in and god forbid you’re reading a comment thread or even trying to access comments for that matter. Reload back to the top, good luck. What an absolute joke, I have no shame in using adblocks here.

The unfortunate thing is that it’s all for the sake of engagement and retention but the entire thing is so artificial. But the company can brag those numbers to their shareholders. Personally I would love to see some hard data from these companies about the actual numbers and applaud Valve on just being outright about

Absolutely agree. I miss website communities that weren’t all meshed together. Communties you had to find, specialty forums, bbs’s, etc...Social Media was a mistake.
