Yeah, if renown makes grinding 1000 tokens tolerable, then great. If it doesn’t boost much and that 1000 grind is still a slog...no thanks.

According to the companion app, the Catalyst and Ornament are at Rank 50 (maybe that’s an issue with the App though). If it is 50, that means you have to grind 1000 tokens in a week.

For the people confused. Riding Pokemon was introduced in Gen 7 as a means to replace HMs. No longer do you need Rock Smash, or Strength, or Fly. Instead you hop on a Charizard, or Machamp, or apparently Onix now.
