They have copyright, what they don’t have is the trademark. Seems pedantic but it is a meaningful distinction

snarky comments like this aren’t helpful but thanks for showing your whole ass online
My only Pops are Mandalorians or droids, so no faces. I still think the dead-eyed stares of most Pops are creepy.
Just read the article dummy, it’s not clickbaity at all and is a thoughtful exploration of the issue
Gamers hated Part2 because they were put into a sphere that they normally don’t operate in while playing games: self-reflection.
Games have showcased vulnerability before, but they’ve always had a heavy dose of bravado to help it go down. TLOU2 made players go through the very same lesson that Ellie did, without any…
You sure do spend a lot of time typing out comments that skirt the line of defending bigots. Stop dancing around it, just be honest for a change.
Can we get articles and media giving the Pokemon company backlash for using that shitty Trainer Club email system that hasn’t been giving out emails to the majority of people signed up despite having the correct settings checked. Many were pissed and missed Zarude last year because of it. On top of this we have apps…
Is noone else going to ask how an 11 year old came up with $800? 😶
I mean, crowd control tends to infuriate anyone in any sort of PVP: from mobile gacha games to razer edge balanced MMOs.

But trashing an artist because they’re trying something different is a bad look. This kind of experimentation in different mediums has been going on for a long time. Obviously…
Okay, stay with me here.
They took them out, to resell them to us.
You guys who are asking for some 1:1 remake are lost. I don’t get your mindset, and it always appears you are oblivious to the fact that a form of media that existed <x> number of years ago, which is later recreated or revisited for a new era, will be different.
I do not personally know any TTRPG players who actually care about perfectly balanced dice and I’ve been DMing for almost 20 years. They exist sure, if you go on amazon and look at dice, you’ll find reviews of people who’ve actually evaluated sets for accuracy, but we’re talking a really marginal case here.
No, ONLINE gaming sucks. Because people suck. This is not new.
This ^^^ My drug of choice is Destiny 2, and it becomes very easy to make the decision between a new $60 game or $10 every three months.
Plenty of the community wants to revisit Venus too. “The community” is not some monolithic single voice.
