Bingo. Every time I see the latest car to feature the prancing horse I think “I’d still rather have a 458 Speciale.” Something about that engine in N/A guise is just Italian perfection in my opinion.

I look at this interior and think they could just put a chevy badge on the steering wheel. It doesn’t look premium to me, just like a higher trim on a malibu.
On the other hand, it charges at half the speed and has a greatly inferior charging network, is smaller, doesn’t go as far, takes almost twice the time to accelerate to 60, and doesn’t wow the neighbors like a Tesla does. They both have their places in the market.
I test drove an S60 T8 and the thing was incredibly uncomfortable over minor road bumps. I mentioned this to the salesman and he said, well, it’s our R-Design package, and the big wheels. Then he sent me a lease price $200/month more than what a Model 3 was at the time.
A quarter of Americans are out of work. It’s entirely probable that a federal jobs guarantee would have massive support.
Sure. Because if this election showed us anything, it’s that Americans believe in the concept of a common good.
It’s an infrastructure problem. It’s not a small one, but we’ve solved major infrastructure problems before. The best way to do it is with a massive public works project on the level of Hoover Dam and the Interstate system.
Figuring out how people without garages are going to recharge electric cars is going to be a stumbling block for a long time.
There’s so many Tesla’s in my (middle class) neighborhood. Mind you I can through all the panel gaps from any distance, but they sure are everywhere.
The world is falling apart and people are ordering uber expensive, one-off, rebuilds of their cocks that cost more than PPE for several major cities.
See, that’s why I want a Mitsubishi mirage: I want people to think I have a massive hog
“Uhhh... Nice truck, sorry about your dick.”
They know who their target market is: Men with small penises.
Another First Gear Take: A guy at work that really does know high tech electricity claims that “super capacitors” are the way Telsa is going.
Agree with all that, and I think GM would be able to get away with the subscription at a lower cost, like $9.99 a month. Marginal costs for this are zero, really, and why not get a lot of users at a lower price?
Reading between the lines: Portofino M = Euro-6D Compliance Special. Not that there’s anything wrong with that, as long as the car improves. The revised front air intakes make the front fascia look MUCH better.
I keep dreaming that it will cause a swing towards a focus on differentiating the driving dynamics and styles. It may be an ignorance of BEVs, but the instant torque and single gear removes a lot of opportunities to differentiate the driving experience. However, the mass sale of gray CUVs with a CVT makes me think…
I don’t see Tesla likely to pony for a competitor like this, maybe a legacy automaker might give it a look to boost their efforts
Interior: A+++
