I imagine the wagon is even better. I love the rotary knob. It’s such a simple but clever device. Gimme that and a touch screen interface and I’m set.
That was so beautiful I wept.
If they lowered prices and made no attempts to compete with top tier competition on a price point level, it’d be one thing. That’s not their strategy, of course. Why should you or I pay that much money for this when the competition has cars which are better at the same price point? It doesn’t make sense (to me). And…
As a long time GMer, I’m so done with the fucking excuses and mismanagement and hollow vapid ra-ra quotes that don’t amount to shit. Always late to the party and looks as if they just got dressed. The worst kind of late. If you’re gonna be late, at least make an entrance. Have the room entranced. Cadillac does neither.
Yes. Not a bad thing at all.
But they did, though. And that’s a good thing. Unlike GM, the platform underpinning the Navigator and Aviator was designed as a luxury platform first and foremost. All the better for Ford. Nothing wrong with borrowing from top down. Borrowing from bottom-up is another story.
I’d rather have the Supra over the Z4 any day of the week. Badge snobbery be damned.
I guess that’s fair. I guess I’m comparing it to luxury brands, although I will say that nearly all the pickup trucks on the market are great lookers, including Ford.
Looks like they borrowed from Lincoln, notably that center console screen. Looks good. The exterior is eh. But I’ve never really been impressed by any Ford exterior, save for their sports cars.
Another great design that will never see the light of day. You keep doing you, GM!
All that power and still not faster or quicker than a ZR1.
The ship may have set sail with Cadillac for me as a potential buyer and that’s sad. Only Cadillac vehicle worth a damn I’d own is an Escalade, as it is their halo product, first and foremost. I find the rest of their interior designs to be uninspiring, derivative of Chevy/Buick, or both.
We’ll meet this time in about 3 to 5 years at this very spot to discuss the next plan for Cadillac when their head honcho is unceremoniously fired yet again.
I’m a Corvette lover. Would never buy a Porsche and even I agree with you.
Drives like stink but a bit much parking at the mall without a track nearby to flog.
Not surprising in the least. In the States, one really stands out driving a wagon. For me, the ideal luxury vehicle I’d drive every day is the new Volvo V60 that’s scheduled to be released later this year. I quite like the V90 but it’s a bit too big for me. The V60 is the perfect sweet spot for driving dynamics and…
I’m not quite sure how popular Jaguar is in the UK as a luxury brand. I imagine it’s not unpopular. In neighboring European countries, I personally haven’t seen them that often. In the States, particularly in New York, it’s the same story: A Jaguar vehicle is not a rare site but I don’t know if I’d say it’s spotted…
GM has no use for the plants but the Union people don’t want to lose their jobs and continue to be paid. Unfortunately, this is just called business in probably most other industries. The job is eliminated and that’s that. And it sucks but that’s life, I guess.
