One of the cruelest things about it is that it is often stress induced and trust me there is nothing more stressful than trying to go to sleep after a sleep paralysis episode. The next night is always the worst because you are exhausted from not sleeping and also worried about it happening again
I haven’t had a sleep paralysis incident in about 10 years, but the worst part for me was that if feels SO real. Like, I could make out details in my bedroom (stuff on my dresser, pile of clothes on the floor).
