Well............... fuck.

Gerald Green is lucky he never had to deal with similar rules.

Dude fucking LOVED ripping Todd Walker.

Greg Howard, you've changed your name and avatar!

The Suns took it a step further:

Anyone else notice the nets are frayed like a tzitzit?

I'm also skeptical on this... New rule that allows this?

Hahaha! I live in Boston but I love this. Our sports fans are just so brilliant. Also, I can only +1 the notion that anyone who gets mad at Ellsbury about this is a total hypocrite. The man was offered much more than he could make in any other market, so he took it. That's not being a traitor, that's being smart.

If the Confed Cup was any indication there won't be anything nearly as bad as vuvuzelas. Brazilians love their soccer and they'll make sure you can hear the crowd swells loud and clear.

Switzerland is the one seeded team that doesn't strike fear into anyone. Algeria would be nice, too. And having beaten BiH recently at their ground is good, though there are a couple UEFA sides I would rather see.

Inasmuch as Ghana has our number historically. I'd still probably rather see an African team than a South American one playing on its own continent. Agreed that Brazil & Netherlands is the ultimate nightmare. Having France, Italy, Portugal and NED all unseeded is very unsettling.

More than a little suspicious... is Antonio Smith's rice hat not more than a little racist?

It's embarrassing that they play it during live action. If you want to blast it during timeouts, whatever, but in-game isn't acceptable.

Kevin Everett I would have to think is still the closest in modern (say, 1990 and after) NFL. Tough to tell with head injuries because the issues can pop up weeks or months or years later, whereas spinal injuries are easier to know the severity in a relatively short period of time.

+1. There's a big difference between a mascot making an ass of itself and getting injured in the process, and something that is entirely NOT the mascot's fault (like being hit by a golf cart). Compound fractures are no joke (that's the injury Kevin Ware sustained) so hopefully this young woman will be handsomely

Greg will never stop saying what he will about Arsenal.

Great lessons in comma usage.

Does anyone else hate how often athletes say "it is what it is" during interviews? WHAT IS IT, CHRIS!?

Don't all NFL photogs use Canon?
