It just struck me that this is just another GTA. This genre has been done to death. Waiting for the giant collective "meh" next week...albeit a week I'm taking off to play GTA5 but nonetheless mark my words...

I spent a few hours trying to get into that game on the DS. Could not for the life of me enjoy it. I found it terribly boring. I still wonder how I missed the point. It's universally loved by critics and everybody else that played it.

I haven't played Asylum, only City. In a lot of ways it really is a great game. I think I'm a bit fatigued with these sandbox games. Need to get a change of pace. What's your tip?

Story does matter a little I suppose. Arkham's story is one of the best now that I think about it. I'm only mildly enjoying the game though. Sleeping Dogs has a great story and it's a lot of fun. I had more fun with Saints but hardly paid attention to the story.

Assassin's Creed was fun I guess but I also hit the wall…

Interesting to read the comments on Kotaku. It's a lot like Jalopnik in that they are far more aggressive and antagonistic. Way different than Gawker and Jezebel.
