This was exactly what I was thinking. Remember that big super bowl when there was the pets.com commercial and like a dozen other dot.coms all paying for super bowl ads and then it seemed like the bubble burst like 2 weeks after that.

(Just thinking about this again, all of what was being touted in those super bowl

This is not the point of this story, but Big Bird is forever 6-years-old on the show so he couldn’t have gotten a vaccine sooner. (You can still rant about the mask and CPAC though)

I was in one of the waves before everyone could get the shot. There were 45 people in a room in groups of 15 two nurses went around administering shots as fast as they could. While we waited to see if we would have a reaction they pointed to a sign on the wall and said, “write this on your card”

The one that bugs me the most, but that isn’t technically like these because it is a grammar thing instead of an original phrase thing is “I feel badly” instead of “I feel bad”

Yes, to avoid confusion the best answer is “no, I don’t mind, go ahead” or something similar. A simple “no” while technically correct would hamper understanding.

There has to be some sort of regulation we can do with the algorithms that funnel stuff to us without becoming some sort of large scale censorship.

Now you have me wanting real life mario kart. Well, not really throwing shells, but picking up upgrades along the road to use against other cars with connected systems.

Wait...is Herman’s Head streaming somewhere? That show was weird and wonderful.

Maybe you have to be an old guy like me who didn’t grow up with cameras around all the time to find this incredibly creepy. Yes, in this instance they caught someone doing something illegal, and yes, I know that I have no privacy out on a public street, or any right to it, but it is still weird to me that people have

I was trying to figure out what these sorts of places would need their own emoji, and then I discovered this link:

Yeah, this sounds like it would be a nice compromise, some sort of idea where the government basically buys up loans and then sets the interest rate on said loans to something ridiculously low (like enough of a percentage to cover the cost of the administration of the loans).

In our pre-baby class the teacher said, “for the first 3 months, their wants are their needs, you can’t spoil them, just help them.” That took off a bunch of pressure.

I had Loony Toons checks back in college too. Taz was my favorite of the set by far.

This should article should be taught in “Clickbait Headline” class.

Listen this is better than I can do, but I don’t think this is ready for a demo reel just yet. What is this supposed to show? Why is this better than an animatronic in the hall of presidents at disney? Is there something I am missing for why this version is special?

I tend to think that if you send me a text then I can answer that text whenever I feel like it. If you need immediate information then call me.

This is true, but those of us who didn’t grow up with social media took a bit longer to realize that it was true. Twitter was this place where 20 or so of your friends saw something you said, and they got the joke. The overall realization that you were publishing your inner thoughts for the world to read forever took

You’re just mocking us now aren’t you.

My son (6th grader) has every tab he has ever opened still opened on his chromebook. The only time tabs ever get closed is when I use his computer and close them.
