The fact is, you have no way of knowing that she did make it up. No rational explanation for why that's a reasonable assumption. Even if it were true, who cares, it wouldn't have had any real negative effect. But if it is true, it's some horrible garbage person doing horrible garbage things which profoundly negatively…

I agree there needs to be a greyzone in which dissent is allowed, but I don't think strange conspiracy theories about a woman inventing her own harassment lie in that greyzone.

I just read a few of the comments on Kotaku. It's all about their precious opinions about games and how their poor feelings are hurt. Nothing about, say, how it's deplorable to threaten to murder someone.

They know it proves her point so they accuse her of making it all up to prove her point. It's like... fucking really?!

What really blows me away about the Anita Sarkeesian hate, which I see absolutely everywhere video game loving people congregate and it never fails to embarrass and depress the shit out of me, is how it's proving everything she says absolutely right.
