So here’s what I’ve figured out...

Locking diffs are a hell of a lot better than open diffs when one or more wheels have no traction.

It really depends on your definition of “in the snow”. If you’re driving in 6+ inches of unplowed snow and/or rural and/or off-road on snow, duh, full time, locking diffs 4wd for the win. If you’re driving in a few inches of snow on roads that are usually plowed/salted/sanded and want just a bit more grip than fwd/rwd
