Supply a community blowtorch and bulldozer, and I have no doubt that you could find volunteers.

Who will do this decoupling?

Children are forced to clamber over or under stopped trains just to get to school on time — a shockingly dangerous situation.

And without anything productive to show for it, like a sparkling clean o-ring.

One would think an article on this topic might give some insight as to why UP is stopping these trains like this...?

Pretty sure Dodge could give a flying fig that it takes away from the image, they are just drunk on wringing every last dollar out of everything about these cars right now. And with Stellantis antics, “ending production” could mean a one year pause, so there’s that, too.

Organized crime.

I’m shocked, shocked i tell you, that the deadbeat scumbags whose cheaping out on safety caused this crash are now cheaping out on safety in the cleanup. Who could have seen that coming?

The Sheriff of Nottingham has entered the chat.

Asset Forfeiture like this just needs to be illegal - no seizure without a warrant. And at the very least, it should absolutely not being going to the budget of the police force doing it.

Now playing

When California tried to change the law and put limits on asset forfeiture a few years back it failed because the Police Chiefs cried it would hurt their budgets. There are companies that in-service PDs how to do asset forfeiture.

“We Americans” DO know. We’re not the problem. Our politicians are a cancer on us all.

Can’t derail if they’re standing still.

I wonder how much for the convertible option?

I agree with you, but this car had the tooling paid off over a decade ago - it is just a cash cow at this point. They’re gonna get every last dollar they can out of this thing before it goes away forever.

With the context that it’s for a car that most people only see as investments, this fucking rules. Throwing such stupid money at cars you won’t drive should also come at the expense of your dignity, too. “You want one of these purpose built drag cars with a sunroof? Sure, that’ll be 10 grand, you dickhead!”

Just like the hardtop 20th Anniversary Trans Ams.

if it goes against the ethos dont offer the damn car with it.

Most people ordering these will have money and 10k won't be much to them. They'll all order on with a sunroof thinking that it'll make them more rare. Fast forward 50 years and it will be the challengers without a sunroof that are worth more.

Flash forward 40 years when the 1 of 2 Demon 170s with optional sunroof and 5miles on the odometer sells for 10 billion dollars.
