The thing that I don’t get about the sovereign citizen / freemen on the land adherents is that even if they’re right - it demonstrably, clearly, does not work. No court has been forced to do anything. No officer has acknowledged their lack of jurisdiction. No government has given them their special hidden money. Do

Right? “You claim you are not an American citizen? May I see your visa or authorization papers? Oh, you don’t have them? Cool, let me escalate this to ICE, that’ll go well for you.”

Yep we had one come into our shop and try to pay with promissory notes with all sorts of seals and ribbons, he owned a furniture place and we said we would trade for some furniture but nope he wanted cash for that.

“Give the peasants gated neighborhoods, charter schools, guns, beer, big screen TVs, football games and they still rebel!” - American Government

Seems like they feel that they are white enough to get away with acting like 5 year olds throwing a tantrum and not get shot in the back.

I think they need to exercise their right to leave the country and not come back.

You know, I actually have to give you credit for turning this one into a slideshow. Well played.

Yes, and its companion piece from dealers “how much do you want to pay each month?”

I had a written offer from Lexus to buy an IS off me, I’d taken my ad down but a guy who’d previously been interested rang me again. I was honest and said beat the price Lexus are offering by $50 and the car is yours.

Carvana doesn’t. I sold a car to them and when they picked it up literally all the guy did was look at the odometer to make sure it was within X miles of the picture of it they asked for.

Carvana really bid high on my Focus, so i was able to take that offer to a local dealer when getting my next car. the local dealer got within 700 bucks of what i thought was a pretty bonkers high number. But I am super glad i had that carvana offer in my back pocket.

I thought all you needed to do was put I KNOW WHAT I HAVE! in all caps?

As you might have guessed, even people who say “if the ad is up, it is available” don’t always monitor their posts. Over the past year I’ve reached out to 4 or 5 separate sellers, only to have them say “oh, sorry, forgot to take this down.”

I have zero interest in buying anything new, as most of it is simply unaffordable for me now. I guess I’ll be driving my dinosaur 4Runner for a long time.

Shame, I kinda dig it.

Dealers will have to adjust their markups accordingly.

I watched a pretty scary thing on Frontline ( PBS show ) yesterday. So basically “Quantitative easing” was never really ended. Every time the Fed would even hint that they would raise rates the markets would panic. And so we have had more or less zero interest for a decade. The layoffs in the tech industry was the

Their hands are kind of tied with the EV thing, though. When you have multiple countries and states going EV or PHEV-only in a little over a decade, you have to do something or risk getting left behind.

It’s going to be even worse this time around, in my opinion. Not only are the companies so dependent on high-margin vehicles for the majority of their profits, they are dumping enormous amounts of money into EV development, which also tend to be expensive and sell in even lower volumes (for now), yet yield far less in
