It’s not the cop who’s litigating the ticket; he’s a witness. It’s the DA who shouldn’t get paid. Maybe they’d be less likely to prosecute in nuisance cases like this.

It does seem like a lot. But also I wish I had the money to do that sort of shit to get out of a ticket.
Time to retrain that cop and I hope the judge reamed him for it. It’s important to remember that these kinds of cases tie up the courtrooms and cost the courts unrecoverable money.
I’m glad he did it pro bono, because $7500 to go into court and say “you can’t break a law that doesn’t exist” seems a bit steep.
Long Way Up was also really good and highlighted the challenges of using an EV Bike (EB?)
This though, it’s a whole other level. No support crew, no diesel sprinter van, no Rivian installing a network of chargers for your trip
This is super badass
I wish she’d had a documentary crew with her. I would watched that in a heartbeat.
Awesome adventure. I imagine there were some close calls on range and times that she would have loved to push through another couple of hours without stopping, but I’m sure there were plenty of days when it took many hours of riding to drain the batteries on tough roads and the breaks were very welcome.
That’s crazy white people shit right there.
So how do they get it down?
I might have you beat....
Right, the distance isn’t what’s so impressive. It’s the location.
This happens all the time. Mercedes V8 AMGs were also like that. Even back in the 80s-90s Pontiac was notorious for cars like the Fiero where the top line had some cool body kit, then the next year every trim level got the cool body kit and made the cool first year one less cool and look like all the others.
So are these the same people who previously invested their money in pogs and Beanie Babies?
They will never make a 2021 Durango Hellcat again.
Wish they would do a 2024 viper :\
Dodge: Renames it the Dodge Durango RedEye and gives it 10 more HP.
Commissioning smaller and smaller violins is getting expensive quickly.
I rarely take the manufacturer’s side, but they did seem to promise they were selling something that was going away, and I am sure the dealer’s gouged them accordingly for the privilege on top of the tall money Dodge was asking. Had the car come back after 5, or even 10 years from now, it would be different, but a…
Well apparently a few buyers at least thought these were long term investment pieces, which means they probably aren’t driving them very much, if at all.
Anyone who paid $113k for a Durango has zero credibility right away.
