From what I gather, the tracking does not notify the user. How it works is they stick a tiny little image in the email (I assume it's either transparent or white) that is used for the tracking. Ironically, this image is blocked by default for gmail, and I would imagine many other email clients so the tracking

Tab doesn't work for me, but space does as long as I have the site set up in the search settings for Chrome.

That's not what happens for me in Chrome. As long as you have your search settings set up right, it will take you to the search results of that particular site.

Posts like this just remind me of how stupid and inconsiderate people are. Every single point in this post is 100% common sense.

Sounds like a lot of work.

I'm surprised LH was even able to tally the nominations with this horrid new commenting system.

Would love to comment...but why bother?

Problem with that is #1) It's TINY & #2) It still doesn't show the full text of the comments so you still have to click on the individual comment to get the rest of the text. This is unbelievably convoluted. If I released something like this in my job I wouldn't have a job for long.

Yeah this new commenting system is horrid. If it doesn't change soon, I will most likely stop commenting, which would probably eventually lead to not even visiting Lifehacker at all.

Phanfare, which serves double duty as an offsite backup and the hands-down best looking photo viewer you'll find on the 'net.

I want to meet the person that would label their garden tools.

Just cut a slit in the front of the PVC pipe. Small enough to keep the tool in, but big enough so you can easily pry it through.

I had one of those as well. They don't "suck" nearly as well so the food won't last as long in the freezer. It's probably suitable if you plan on eating the food fairly quickly though. The bags are expensive as well. In the end, I think the FoodSaver is a much better value.

Yes, you can hit the 'Seal' button before it finishes vacuuming. Or sometimes I will freeze the liquid first and then vacuum seal it. But that can be difficult if it's a lot of liquid.

This method works great using the FoodSaver system (one of the best purchases you'll ever make).

Is there an easy way to remember my own phone number?

Can't say I've tried to many of these, but I have tried WinDirStat but prefer Folder Size ([www.mindgems.com]).
