I used to use Foxit, then switched to PDF-XChange (I believe after that last Hive Five) and haven't looked back. I would also put Sumatra over any of those others on there.

I don't believe organizing my fonts is anything I've ever thought about. I don't think I've ever had a need to install additional fonts other than what comes with the OS or software I'm using either.

The Universal USB Installer is much better than Unetbootin...has more current versions of some of the distros.

Yeah, put in a subject.

Eh...I tried this yesterday when someone suggested it in the comments. It's okay I guess if all you're interested in is archiving and don't care about being able to restore things back to your gmail account the way they were. Unless I missed something, the only way I could see to restore your emails to your account

I just tried this out. I like how it works...however one thing I don't like, and is probably enough for me to not want to use it...when I did a restore, it restored all of the messages to the current date. Is there a way around that?

I have a foolproof system of knowing if the dishes in the dishwasher are clean or dirty. I LOOK at them. If they look clean, they're clean...if they look dirty, they're dirty. It hasn't failed me yet.

Yeah those screen protectors with adhesive aren't very good at all. I've tried those, and I've also tried the ones that require soapy water to apply - Invisible Shield, BestSkinsEver, and PhantomSkinz...and PhantomSkinz are clearly the best. Doesn't have the scaling effect like the others do. And the bubbles

@bjvcomm: iDrive is nice...I even have a free 12GB account with them. The problem is the pay accounts are very expensive and they don't offer unlimited storage, which is a dealbreaker for a lot of people.

I did the $30/year deal with SafeSync and started playing with it. I really like it. The nicest thing I've noticed about it so far is that if I have it set up on just one of my PCs to sync my NAS folders, it recognizes any changes to those folders on ANY of my PCs. I was expecting to have to install the client

So is there anyone out there that has TBs of data to backup? I have about 4 TBs of data, thanks to my entire Bluray collection being ripped to my NAS. I can't imagine how long it would take to upload that amount of data (let alone how my ISP (Comcast) would feel about it). Now I realize I probably don't NEED to

That's ghetto...reminds me of this...

@Bassman22: Thanks for the input. It was several years ago when I checked them all out so things may have changed since then. But I don't think I ever looked into their memory usage either. Maybe I'll revisit ClipX, but to tell you the truth I'm so happy with ArsClip right now I don't see a reason to switch.

@kettlewhistle: Yes. I believe you have to download and install separately.

@vagabond_king: I've always been curious...what's an example of something that can be done in Excel, but can't be done in Calc? I've heard people claim this before, but I've never heard of a specific example (not saying it's not true). I don't use spreadsheets all that much, but I have done what I thought were

@PremiumSaltine: Yeah I don't know. I've been an avid user/supporter of the OpenOffice (Windows) suite for 4 years now, and I can honestly say I wasn't even aware of LibreOffice's existence until now. Looking at their website and reading this post it seems as though we should all be switching to LibreOffice and

Mars Volta rocks.

This strategy works...I've been doing it for well over 10 years. I need more than 3 days though, particularly for big (expensive) purchases. I try to wait a month. I used to joke that if you wait long enough, 100% of the time you won't want the item anymore...and I'm not sure that isn't true.

@soulfinger: Admittedly I haven't tried iTunes in about 5 years, but I know I hated it then. Then I discovered MediaMonkey and I can't imagine ever using anything else.

Code ANDROID5OFF gives you $5 off.
