Do I even have to say that this looks exactly like the Impreza?

This is why it's been so successful. The M5, M3, etc. Sure they still sell really well, but they've got zero relation to where they originally came from. Mazda understands how to improve a model, get it right and don't change too much.
Sounds no fucking different from an E46, it's just not as squeely and that's because it's not hitting redline.
Or is it because they stopped selling the old one a year before they sold the new one? There isn't an answer, because you can't know for sure.
the Gentlemen's Agreement in Japan has been over for 11 years...the Evo and STi still make ~300hp.
Kia get's 50000000 IRL points for not making this car look extremely derivative of another car. It actually looks like it's own vehicle
I get that the M3 is upscale, I'd obviously expect the thing to have modern luxuries like Bluetooth, adaptive suspension, high-quality speakers, etc, but a serious focus on driving, not just turning a luxury barge into a performance car.
This is how it should be: the 335i should be more luxurious. Hell, it should…
because progress on paper doesn't really translate to what people actually want.
It looked like it was understeering quite a bit the whole time.
No, what I am saying is, the reason people hate the new F10 M5 is because it's nothing like the original M5, except it has the same amount of doors, wheels and has "BMW" in the name.
I don't know. Sure, it's a good car, but I don't think a model should be an evolutionary process.
look at the Evo (no pun intended) and WRX STi, they've stayed at 276hp for 10 years, and when they did bump up power, it was less than 20hp.
They stuck to the formula, which worked really well.
Imagine if the current M3…
I'm sorry, but what was Marco Søresen thinking? did he think that Jaafar's car would just magically go away?
I have not, but I'm also not discriminating against hybrids for hybrid sake, either. I'd be willing to give something like the CT200h a try, as long as it's either fun to drive or a good car all around.
For me it's entirely end result, whether it's music, art, or cars. I don't care what it took to make it, I don't care how long it took, I don't care where the parts came from, if the car is good, it's good. That's why I don't care for Hybrid's for hybrid sake. They could have found the aluminum from Mars for all I…
Hybrids are interesting as long as they are transparent, as in; they don't define the drivetrain, they just add to it. Take the 918 Spyder, the batteries are running in tandem with the ICEngine to make a very powerful force. The Prius, however? It's a CVT with an engine that couldn't push a boulder down a hill.
Victimless Crime?
The SS doesn't really meet any of your expectations as a limited-run V8 American sedan, but it does work as something else entirely, a really, really nice ordinary family sedan. Let me explain what I mean.
None...because Brand tie ins are lame as hell.
I also just went to a bar show where a guy got so drunk that he shit himself and it ended up on the floor. so there's that.
Public transit in America is the second most disgusting thing on this planet...next to your car.
