Hehe. Notice the "Seiken" in my user name? That sort of indirectly came about from Seiken Densetsu.

The open world appearance and scale is probably the only thing that has looked like a traditional FF game here. As for the stuff that throws up red-flags for me:
Ugh this feels like its going to be FF13 all over again.
Imagine if Minecraft was right there on the Games list between Solitaire and Minesweeper..
Pretty crappy and disingenuous. I also saw this on the front page of Steam and thought "hmm.. people said this is a good rally game.."
Agreed. I've done this on two occasions I think. The most recent was realizing I had a better mobo/cpu setup sitting in a box instead of my second PC (which I still never really use anyway). It previously had Win XP on it but decided to put Win 7 now. Used the copy of Win 7 I had for my main PC. It said key didn't…
Funny thing about Alpha builds.. they are usually a cobbled together mess used internally as a proof of concept years before a AAA games release, typically not available to the public.
That thing that we all talk about wanting to do when you see a make-shift ramp truck on the road and just want to fly off it?
Oh okay.. I didn't realize that's how opinions work. All cleared up now. I promise I won't question people's insane opinions ever again. If someone thinks Nintendo was perfect, or gay marriage will cast us all into Hell, or Hitler was right.. We should just not say anything and let them keep on going. Clear as day.…
I meant gameplay in the sense that we'd see what it was actually like to play. It was great for showing off the graphics and that's about it.
Nintendo a 10? geez people are crazy.
Yea that is a weirdly sharp deep spot. I got stuck there after making one or two more passes through it and the little middle island got all torn up.
I can see how $30 is a bit steep for something like this unless you get really excited by the videos and idea of it. They've still got a number of things they need to fix and work on. It's got a unique camera control that apparently works better with a mouse but I play with a controller. Takes some getting used to but…
It does save progress on one map. But that is one of the flaws of the game which the devs are aware of and are going to address.
Haha funny you mention the Dark Souls thing because I've had that exact same thought the over the past couple days. It's all about being patient and methodical. One little mistake and you're screwed.
Hmm won't let me edit my original post anymore. Here's a clip I recorded going down part of this route along the Coast map I enjoy.
Guess I'll post the same reply as the other thread:
Said it before on another SpinTires article, but the game is a really nice piece of tech and oddly fun and addicting.
I too would recommend this to someone who is into off-road games. Started playing last night (I was a backer) and so far my only complaint is the damn camera can be very annoying to handle at times. I don't remember having this much trouble when I originally played the tech demo but that was with a mouse/keyboard and…
This photo should be in black and white like the recent star wars one, because this is one of those possibly huge moments in history. It would be fascinating to get his impressions.
