@buzz killington: Or both! I found out not too long ago that in other markets, the CX7 comes in a diesel manual...drool.

How about the Mazda3 and CX7? I won't argue with a Mazda6 wagon either!

Why are so many people being so harsh on this kid? He's actually pretty good. Much better than all those other follow up vids. Better for him (16 yrs?) to not get laid being himself than for him to be a poser douche, get laid, and have a few illegitimate kids.

@pauljones: Yeah, something about the Focus wagon reminds me of the latest Subaru wagons. Not bad, but doesn't quite do it for me. I'm in desperate need of a new wagon and would have bought one anyway. I hope the Buick wagon makes it here.

As others have mentioned, Hard Drivin' was great at getting me the concept down. Then my brother unsuccessfully tried to integrate a real clutch into the equation. He gave up after about 15 minutes. Years later, I bought my first new car which I ordered with the manual. I told myself, there's no way millions

@Age of Aerostar: Ah, the memories. Although those memories didn't include such pimped out colors... FYI, if you can find about a 1988 vintage model, you'll see the power steering reservoir in the same position as the Taurus specimen there.

@MadMechanic: That looks suspiciously like a 2.3 Tempo/Topaz engine bay.

"The world is a better place when there's still a possibility of a high-output, direct-injection, turbocharged four-cylinder, all-wheel-drive, six-speed manual transmission-equipped Regal GS Wagon." Now just replace Regal GS with Mazda6, Legacy, or Focus and my head will explode. GM, you bring this to the table in

@Pew Pew BOOM: Yeah, I think they did a pretty good job too. But again with the tacked on door keyless entry pad. That is so early 90s. It's a great idea that I wouldn't mind on a car, but at least implement it into the door pillar like the Lincolns. My parents '96 Sable had a better integrated keypad.

Ugh, why does AOTS have such a following? This was such low brow superficial crap. I expected the editor in chief of Jalopnik to provide some sanity to this media sensation rather than throw another log on the fire.

Very nice. I think it's the best implementation of the corporate grille yet. BUT, enough with the enormous D pillars. Actually, I think that's a C pillar in this case. I'm not asking for Pacer visibility here. I just want to see the person I'm about to run over rather than just hear the thud.

I don't care what it's named as long as it's attached to a wagon variant.

Sounds like things aren't all roses and polished golden turds at Ford. As Ford is slowly getting their car division right, they're f'ing up their truck division. There is a need for compact TRUCKS. Stop telling us we don't need Rangers and BOF Explorers. Some people need to haul stuff and tow trailers, yet don't

I'm surprised no one has pointed out that this 6 is on a slightly different platform than our 6. We get a slightly bloated version of the 6 for our portly brethren to sit more comfortably in. The fact that this is a different platform is probably the reason why we won't get it here. I guess we can plead for a low

@Unevolved has three moving parts.: I think the manufacturer has little real authority in this case. At least that's what I was told when I had issues with my lemon Focus.

I've seen additional photos at other sites. This is the most flattering of them. At first I thought, Mazda was getting the hang of translating some Furai to the average consumer. The front didn't seem too goofy. It just looks the happy sibling of the sinister Furai, but look at the other pics and it's a bit

Now build it in a wagon. Now build it in a wagon. Now build it in a wagon. Alright, three times should do the trick.

@BigHarv: I don't know. A Fiesta doesn't sound like a barn stormer either. For the US, it's exactly as you describe: sensible, cheap, utilitarian, fits four, but also has a slightly fun attitude to go with it.
