The mere presence of a manual doesn't automatically make the driving experience better. It depends on the gearbox and the car. Travis drove the Euro-version with a manual and found the throws too long and the pedals not ideal for heel-and-toeing. Compare that to one of the best paddle shift transmissions ever made.

I totally agree that there need to be better representations of women heroes in video games, I think that's a great thing to strive for, but I don't think that makes it wrong every time it doesn't happen. You can't have a creditable opinion until you've sat in one. I love the A3 interior the wife had a loaner for 4 days. I imagine the S3 will only be better.

Have you sat in one? It's actually a nice interior with a very conservative and refined approach. Also, the infotainment screen retracts into the dash when its not in use. The screen itself is also impressively thin.

Your solution is to just ignore what other players dislike. Come one, selectable difficulties at start was one of the best recent changes to Diablo 3. It's just the style these days, even the 6-Series, which can go for over $100k, has a tacked on screen. Not sure why Mercedes even bothered replacing the moving screen with a cowled screen for the few years.

I've check the CLA45, did not like it at all. I found the interior cheap. The S3 has a much better interior. The base S4 is not worth it, you have to add the performance packages etc.

Have you seen it in person? I think it is pretty nice. The screen retracts into the dash, which is an awesome feature. Sometimes you just want tech to go away.

Dude, have you even sat in an A3/S3? It's fine. It deserves nowhere near that level of bashing.

I bought an S3 (delivery first week of Dec.) and you got all the Jalop points I could collect around.

I got to drive a regular A3 recently and I really liked it. Initially the styling bothered mostly because it's too easily confused for an A4. It did grow on me because feels better proportioned than the bigger car. I still prefer the wagon, but I'd be happy with this.

The interiors on the CLA and 2-Series are the same way. I'm sure it's done on purpose. These luxury brands don't want you to get *too* good of a deal or they'd undercut the more expensive cars.
